I really don't think they are going to come back from lunch and say "Screw it, let's just call everybody this afternoon," so I am going to resume my semi-suspended state of work/psychosis now. Of all the mistakes this board as a whole has made in the past 18 months, I think we messed up when we didn't give the statement from the OCALJ - "Selections and offers will begin this month and continue for the next several weeks." - the same hyper-analysis that we have given everything else. For that lack of attention to detail we are paying now. Congratulations to everyone who has made it to the end. A high score is what you need. A rocket arm is what you need to take over for Drew Brees, and I didn't have that either. Several simply means more than two, and I think we all had an inkling that would be the case. We could have been hyperanalytical about it, but given the subjectivity of the term, I don't know that the results of our analysis would grant you guys any relief once the offers started rolling out.

Funky references "The Richmond Vote" in the cities poll, which to me sounds like a great political thriller movie. My SUaC question for Thursday, Week 2: who'd play the part of Funky? Of Bob? Would Jack Nicholson play DD a la Col Nathan R. Jessup? Would Sir Anthony Hopkins be available to provide some fava beans in the role of chessparent? Mizzunderstood? BagLady? Judge Tigerlaw? Is ALJD more Batman, Superman, or Fox Mulder? The possibilities are endless!
Hopefully this question provides no offense, some levity, and perhaps some unique responses, before we all return to the ongoing meta-analysis around which many of our lives revolve. I don't know about you, but I can only 'dwell' for so long before losing my mind over The Richmond Vote.
Long-time lurkers, feel free to jump in with both feet!

If he were alive, I would cast Earl Hindman as Bob. I think he would have been ideal based on his body of work playing Wilson on Home Improvement.

Ooo, I like the idea of Sir Anthony Hopkins playing me. Plus, I read that he dated Martha Stewart one time. Me too! Small world.

I picture Bob with just a James Earl Jones voiceover.

If it were a comedy, then it is Bill Murray for Bob, of course. "Baby steps."

Has anyone who has received an offer been given the second training session. I don't recall seeing that yet. The reason I ask is I wonder if they are filling the first training class first that second. Also, then we might know if half of the offers have been made.

Based on her work in "Her," I would cast Scarlett Johansson as ALJD.

Ok1956 would be played by my mother, of course, since she probably is my mother.

No, ALJD is more of a Professor Xavier type -- the wise one, who we know harbors secret powers. Uh, ALJD, do you think you could maybe plant some suggestions in a certain SSAer's mind? Continuing the XMen analogy, Judge Tigerlaw would definitely be Kelsey Grammer, as Dr. Hank McCoy aka the Beast -- charming and mild at times, but dangerous when riled. Haven't decided on who plays Funky yet.

Tom Cruise will be miscast as someone (shout out to Jack Reacher fans).

I picture Bob with just a James Earl Jones voiceover. Or the Highlander! (There can be only one!)

For the X-Men analogy, I am going with the Wolverine for Funky. It is the facial hair.

Richard Schiff, a la Toby Ziegler, for Funky? You can just imagine listening to 90 seconds of high-speed high-value macro-level analysis, the camera panning as he walks through three judges' offices, a hearing room, and down two hallways, feeling like you have a headache from the rapid data download, and then, music/fade-out/commercial -- or fade-out/Bruce-Willis-action-scene.
