We could go back to the Prince vs Michael Jackson debate. On second thought, maybe not. That debate was like ten pages long.

I understand that I must have my paperwork submitted to ODAR by November 10,2014 close of business. What is the "close of business"?? Also, how soon should I expect my references to be contacted after November 10, 2014? Does ODAR interview first and then contact references? I am really interested to know when my managing attorney may be contacted. Close of business, in the most narrow view (and the safest) would be 5pm EST. Once in the past, though, I misjudged the time difference and sent it after that point. When I realized that, I sent a frantic email and was told I was OK with my filing. I went back and looked in my old PMs. I was a whopping 20 minutes late (5:20 PM EST OR EDT, whichever was on at the time, I suspect it was EDT), and panicked. Wasted a good worry, as Franklin used to tell Charlie Brown.

Thanks so much, Chessparent, Missundaztood, and all for the encouragement to post . . . I promise if I think of something, I'll let you know. :-) I have participated in all the polls, which, by the way, have also been extremely helpful through all this. My current angst is generated from the following: (1) not knowing for sure my paperwork was received . . . I was too brain dead/dumb to request a return receipt on the email . . . and I still haven't received a call about scheduling an interview . . . .

At least they said they will contact those with incomplete or missing paperwork, so no worries there. I and MANY others still have not received the interview call either, but you are in good company. They are just super swamped.

Thank you so much! I just saw on another thread where you took one for the team and checked on the interview notification situation . . . yet another reason this Board is a lifesaver . . . if I could bake you all cookies, I would. :-)

I have been trying to figure out the pattern and nothing seems to make sense. I received my cert. email Monday morning, returned all my paperwork by Tuesday afternoon and still no interview call.
So the interview call list is not the same as the cert. email list. It is not done by SSN like the WD/SI, because I was day one for that. I then thought maybe it was alphabetical, my last name is in the middle of the alphabet - but now that we are five days into it, that theory doesn't seem to make sense either.
I can't believe that it is totally random, someone has to be using a spreadsheet and every spreadsheet is sorted by some column, just can't figure out what the pattern is.
I guess this keeps me busy as I wait for the phone to ring...

This is a very lawyerly discussion: Just how late can I file something and not be late? Precisely. I would prefer a time-stamped e-filling receipt, but no such luck. If you email it, set up an automatic read receipt. Then you know when Bob got it.

Not quite as satisfying as that immediate efilling receipt, especially if you work in the middle of the night like I do (I heart efiling midnight deadlines), and I hope Bob isn't up then. Seems like he has lots of work and can use rest!

For reals though, everyone needs to settle down a bit. I did not get the interview call until late in the game, and my references were called even later than that. I think I even posted something on the board letting everyone know how worried I was about it.
I finally received an interview call, attended the interview, and my references were called.
It may be later than you want or expect, but the call will come.
