Is there any precedent for them not interviewing everyone? Could they use the SI as a proxy? I cannot imagine that would even be allowed. One is OPM based and the SSA interview is no doubt different and agency specific. Of course we cannot compare due to confidentiality. But all candidates have to be treated equally so like Ace said, all have to be interviewed. I didn't expect offers to be out before mid December regardless. There is still the possibility they will have open interview spots next week. I think all SSA gets from OPM for each cert is a list of eligibles in score order with the NOR scores of each eligible. I don't believe they get individual component results any more than we do, so I see no way they could use the SI as a substitute for the agency interview.

Sadly, this is almost certain to delay the offers until mid-late December or even January - unless there is some tiered/layered way to do so and bank the late interviews until subsequent hiring rounds in 2015. The rule is normally - they don't have to interview, but inteview one, you have to interview them all. On an unreleated note: I still haven't received anything on the supplemental cities - at least 1 of them should be on my list and it was specifically not screened out by me last time. I don't imagine there are still many left to schedule. The last I checked the poll, only 12 of us responded that we still needed the call. I don't know about this. From the need to interview poll it appears between 71 and 72 percent of us need to be interviewed. The interview status poll is picking up only 42 percent of those reporting a need to interview. Also I am not sure what percentage of all second certers any of our polls are picking up.

I am local, but was not called until Friday, Nov 7th for my interview. They pretty much insisted that it had to go this week (Nov 12-14). I was told that if this week couldn't be done, then it wouldn't be scheduled until Dec 1st. So I took a spot tomorrow morning and then rearranged everything else. But through this conversation, I learned that a contingency plan exists to resume interviews if necessary after the Thanksgiving holiday. Charge up those turbo boosters, Ironman Lady, and good luck to you.

Not at all doubting the accuracy of IronmanLady's intel (and thanks IML!) but I wonder if the person she spoke with gave her accurate info. IF there are going to be interviews 12/1-ish then I'd think we'd have had some more intel from ALJs/insiders about people being asked to serve on panels then. So far, nothing but crickets.

From the need to interview poll it appears between 71 and 72 percent of us need to be interviewed. And I locked that poll to avoid confusion - I was trying to get a raw number of interviews, plus a ratio of those who need to interview to the number on the certificate who interviewed in June 2014. There is a disconnect between polling on the scores (overall certificate size) and the relatively small number of folks who are reporting on the interview scheduling. Hopefully, this information firms up in real time as we go through the process. I have zero doubts that ODAR could hold interviews the first week of December - but does not appear to have been in the originally planned timeline.

I do not like the prospect of waiting until after Thanksgiving to hear about the interview date. Ugh.

any effective way to prepare for the upcoming interviews? Just be yourself, if you have made it this far, you will be fine. Don't expect anyone to give you exact parameters of the interview. It will likely be very similar to OPM, but looking more for someone to be a SSA fit.

Thanks for the well wishes, CP, and good luck to you and all!
I had the interview this a.m., and I found everyone to be so wonderfully warm/nice.

Managing how to post on the board after months of lurking!
I think the person had the right intel, but I understood her to mean that I could plan for Dec 1, as a contingency, if I could not interview this week. I think they really are trying to get folks through the interviews before the week of Thanksgiving, but that they appreciate they may have to be realistic given that not everyone's been called yet. FWIW, that may mean only a handful remaining to be interviewed after Thanksgiving, if any.

Anyone still waiting to be called for an interview time slot? Yes. There were 16 of us according to the poll.
