I know this has a pretty limited audience, but for those interested OHMA has started scheduling interviews. I'm up second week in January.

No this will be my first go around with OHMA. "There can be only one."

Is OMHA only certing Kansas City, or elsewhere also?

I only received KC. I have other OMHA locations on my GAL, so I am guessing if there were certs for the other cities I might have received them? I believe our intel from the first round is that KC is the new office (rather than Denver as was originally thought), so makes sense they are hiring there.

Late to the party here.... I got the "are you interested in OMHA Kansas City" email, and declined. Posting here just to point out that they went lower on scores than I would ever have expected for an OMHA cert. There must be fewer people than I would have thought with KC on their GAL.
Good luck to those interviewing!

Northbend, I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that the OMHA locations follow the same transfer procedures as SSA. I think it is very unusual for OMHA ALJs to "transfer" between locations.

I think it's been established that two drawbacks to OMHA are the lack of transfer opportunity and the lack of relocation expenses. There are discussions in other threads regarding the differences in the job itself.

I think it's been established that two drawbacks to OMHA are the lack of transfer opportunity and the lack of relocation expenses. There are discussions in other threads regarding the differences in the job itself. Both of those factors are on my mind. I don't have an offer from ODAR at this point, but I like my current job and it provides opportunities to transfer, albeit not as a Judge and there is no relocation assistance there either. Being an ALJ with OHMA, from a working perspective, actually does sound more appealing to me than ODAR. On the other hand while I don't have anything against Kansas City, I don't know about committing to spend my foreseeable working future there, or picking up the tab to wind down my life and move halfway across the country. I would never have agreed to interview if I wasn't willing to give legitimate consideration to a potential offer, but this is going to be a situation where there interview will be as much about OHMA convincing me that I should take the job as it about me convincing them to offer me the job.

Is OMHA only certing Kansas City, or elsewhere also? Also certing for Cleveland. Email arrived earlier today.

Interviewed last week. Lived to tell the tale, if that were permitted.
