I was 45 minutes into day three of a bench trial today when I received a call to interview. I advised the Judge, which is one of my references, that if I received the call I would have to run out of the courtroom. Luckily, she agreed. When my phone rang I raised it up in the air, grabbed a notepad and ran out the door. At first, the man introduced himself as Joseph. I was expecting Bob or one of the other usual people. Instantly, I thought if this guy is trying to sell me an extended warranty on my car I will make it my life's work to track him down. Fortunately for both of us, it was SSA. Now I have to attempt to focus on the remaining days of trial. Bob and his crew do not arrange the interviews, nor do they do the travel arrangements- you will get another call about that.

On a different note, I made my travel arrangements for my interview. I went back and looked at the old threads and I have to say, I am glad I am hopefully not going to have to deal with freezing temperatures.

It was bad when we had to interview in November and for those in January. No fun being in DC then. Enjoy the weather while you are there. Good luck wingnut with your interview.

Yes, it was really cold! Much nicer now. Good luck to all who are interviewing in May!

I am willing to venture that there will be no more offers until next week at the earliest, if SSA decides to hire some candidates prior to the interviews and the rest after the interviews. If no offers arrive next week, then SSA is waiting until all the interviews are completed prior to offering more positions to the candidates.
