1992, maybe? Stone Temple Pilots and Flaming Lips, who were both on their first big albums. Also at the show, the Butthole Surfers, which will undoubtedly be censored on this forum. (edit -- Not censored! Take that, c**ktails!) Superbonbon my wife loves the band The Butthole Surfers. I can tolerate them. LOL!

Fleetwood Mac? Stones was the concert i was most excited to see! Just saw the Stones a few weeks ago. They are still amazing. Played 2:20 non stop without a break. Well, Mick took a short break of one or two songs, and I think the same with Keith. It was hot, but they kept it up full tempo.

I have been struggling to remember what the first band was. I am pretty sure the venue was Red Rocks in Colorado, but stumped on the band. Probably something to do with that vodka-spiked watermelon. Maybe it was the Talking Heads? About 1982 or 83.

To gary and hereforthedance perhaps the saying "age before beauty" will rule the day on the next round of hiring. By the way, I am up in age, too. LOL!

For you Missundaztood I will make an exception because you are a long time Board member who I would really like to see get an ALJ position. Good luck my friend!!!

miss, the kids are definitely NOT reliable witnesses in determining whether their parents are "old" or not! Esp if the kids are between 11 and 22

I fully expect to see a Gaidan spreadsheet on this by the morning... Not likely as to cities, as Gaidin will not have any idea of which cities are in play for the August start date. However, there could be a spreadsheet as to NOR score or which number cert it is for the candidate.

I think cheesy was referring to the topic of this thread, not the topic of this entire board!!! LOL! I could see the poll - decade of first concert and musical genre. Of course the only vote in the "hootenanny" category would be Gary's.

It hasn't been a good month or so for me as my present work position is being abolished and I do not know what the future holds for me in terms of employment with my present employer (a state government). Hence, my head is a little out of the game right now. I am just a little worried about what happens to me at my age in the near future as to my employment status. I apologize to Cheesy and the Board for my error.

I LOVED McGovern. I still have a campaign button that says, "I want to be governed by McGovern." I am heartened to see that there are others on this board of my era. I was thinking I was getting too old to be going through this process.
