I've seen this discussed in other threads, but indirectly. Is there a general consensus on what it means to have your status as "see details" instead of closed? My external evaluation was completed February 11 of this year, so I am assuming all work is done on my file. But my status remains "see details".
has anyone ever had "see details "as their status and still gotten a numerical score? Thanks guys. Everyone in this group has been very helpful, and this is such a good resource.

So notwithstanding OPM's past practice, and adopting the most optimistic outlook in light of such a dire probability of outcome, I continue to hope that "See Details" tab is not the kiss of death for a NOR.

I don't see why OPM would change their protocol mid-stream. See Details has always appeared to be the kiss of death for your chance of getting on the ALJ Register. Remember which 'see details' we are talking about, because lots of folks have a see details tab, but their application status is "complete", and that seems to be the euphemism for "you will make the ALJ register". Take heart - if you have that, you can reapply in a month and be back on track to achieve a "complete" application.

OK, so which "see details "are we talking about? My application status has both a "complete" in one part and see details on another, so I'm confused obviously.

I've talked to many sitting ALJs who do not recall the specifics of their application, much to my surprise. It's like when my kids were babies and I was shocked my mom didn't remember the exact moment I got my first tooth or rolled over. What seems so important at one time, not so much in hindsight.

ok folks, this is what the top of your Application Manager for this position looks like:
Application Package Status: Complete
Job Title: Administrative Law Judge Vacancy Identification Number: 847661 Closing Date: Friday, March 15, 2013 Announcement Number: ALJ2013-847661 Contact: Admin Law Judge Program Office - (000)000-0000 USAJOBS Control Number: xxxxxxxxx Applicant: YOUR NAME HERE
It doesn't matter what it says below (for purposes of this conversation). You SHOULD have a Details tab and a Checklist tab, that is where your information is.
I think it is possible to have something up top besides Complete, because folks have provided that information here on other threads. I do not pretend to know the true meaning behind the phrases OPM uses in that top block of your application. All I am saying is that 99% of the folks who received a NOR had a Complete status to their application.
For all of you who can't get into Application manager, consider it a blessing

Balderdash, your username is my favorite. Next, I love the name of this thread. I'm rooting for you and hope we are both in the next Falls Church training class. Your excellent sense of humor deserve complete status!

Thanks numbersix. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely given the general consensus here. Who knows? I'll comfort myself with the fact that I can always reapply, and I am still relatively young.
Luckily, I have a good job that I like, and really enjoy what I do right now. I applied for the ALJ position because three different ALJs before whom I practice had recommended it for me. But, guess I'll have to roll up my sleeves and try again later, if it's meant to be.

I have both. I'm confused.
