I just realized that I never got any written instructions for the interview. I spoke with a scheduler on the phone to schedule it, then I got the email with instructions for booking travel. I booked the travel and sent my itinerary back to ODAR, and got acknowledgment of that.
Am I supposed to have any other written information about the interview itself? I assume the address is the Leesburg Pike one I see in email signature blocks? I don't want to unnecessarily pester people who I know are very busy, but I also don't want to be missing something that I should have.

Right after I talked to the scheduler I got some email with general information. Check your email from that day, if you can remember when it is. It should have come from the person you spoke to.
If you can't find it, PM me and I'll try to copy mine into a response PM.

Does anyone know when to expect the airline ticket to actually _issue_? My federal agency's travel contractor doesn't issue tickets for our work travel until three working days out, but I'm well within that now and my ticket to DCA for the interview is still just an unpaid reservation with no ticket number.

I got mine the other day. Interview is next week.
The travel agent told me if I didn't receive the ticket by about a week before, I should contact them.

Sounds as if you are on the right path now, and have nothing to worry about with the ticket. Thank goodness for that. I will be pulling for you while you are en route to FC (actually it is Bailey's Crossroads) as a lot of bad things can happen while one is traveling. But you shouldn't worry about that: we will worry for you. Good luck with the trip and the interview. Pix.

Oh he has plenty to worry about, I just didn't want to emphasize it. He has the trip where any number of bad things could happen and he has the interview. The dreaded awful interview. Oh my, bears, lions and tigers all crouch in wait. But we don't want to bring that up. Too much worrying even for SWW. Pixie.

Surrogate worriers. I like that! I think of it more as a contagion, with SWW as Worrier 0.

Upperwolf , I lived in VA and was a fed employee when I interviewed. You do not have to let them know. But when I became an ALJ the travel system had recorded that I had never filed a claim. So if you want to travel on your own you can.

The first day of the next crop of candidate interviews begins! We are right here behind you, and we know how nervous you can get right beforehand. Get there early, sit down with your fellow interviewees on the couch and talk to them. You will meet some mighty fine and impressive people (including some folks who post on this board)and will consider yourself lucky to be counted amongst them. Then go in and kick a@#.
Then come out of the building, take a deep breath and post on the board so we know how many candidates were there when you interviewed!!!
Then get home safely. Good luck.
