I have a score of 62ish, had one city, and got the email at 2:09. Quite frankly, I'm shocked! Good luck everyone (try not to stress!). More hopeful news, still waiting. I'm not sure the end for today would be at straight up 5 PM Eastern, (2 minutes from now or so) but probably close. Based on the above post, I think mine is coming.... patience is a virtue.....  |

Check your junk/spam folders CAREFULLY, everyone, the address these are coming from is NOT the same one we've been getting things from. Mine is timed 12:34, not sure when it actually came. I get a LOT of spam.

It's the end of the workday on May 24. 206 people have posted their scores on the appropriate poll, and only 41 have posted that they received the email saying they are on the certificate. Do people really think that this is it? Less than 25% of the posters on this board?

Received mine (whew!) at 6:13 EDT. (Score of 80, with 10 cities listed on the certificate.)

Everyone, please take a deep breath. This is only the beginning of the most exciting leg of the ALJ hiring process. There's still the interview at FC, then the wait for that offer phone call which may or may not come. And if you do get the offer, the mad scramble to uproot your old life to prepare for the new one. So don't get too stress out yet. If you want to see stress, go check out last year's threads from page 17 - 15. You'll see some senior forum members foaming at the mouth around this time last year.  Best of luck to everyone. Hopefully those of you that make the cut will become great ALJs. Also, don't forget your stress of waiting right now pales in comparison to the stress of a claimant who's living on food stamp and has been waiting for an ALJ hearing since sometime in 2008. |

I got my notice at 9:22am. My score was 61(ish) and they gave me 20 cities. Maybe there is something to the Federal Employees getting notice sooner. My cities were from Regions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 9. Thanks for all of the great advice that people have put out there and good luck to everybody.

I got the email a little after 4 p.m. est. I have checked my list of cities against those who posted having an open GAL and I think I am missing a city.
Can someone please confirm whether Covington, GA is on the cert. It is on my OPM list but not the SSA list.
Also, I would advise everyone to check their list. If this is being input manually for each person it seems subject to human error.

I'm faced with a difficult issue. Due to family issues, I'm realistically unable to "accept" any of the 10 or so locations on my GAL (there are a few places left that I could go, but none made this cert). I guess I automatically forfeit the interview if I send in the GAL with no cities accepted? Would that be better than to risk a job offer that I am almost certainly unable to accept? Somone had posted that there may be two classes off the register, are they both expected to be off this cert? Thank you for any insights - has this happened to anyone?
Regardless of my circumstances, I'm rooting for all of you who made the cert!!!

Please, please, please. If you KNOW that you won't accept at any of the locations listed then please let SSA know that. I know that last time this happened to 4 people. They were offered the position, declined and so the position continues vacant. 4 people who wanted the job did not get it and hundreds of claimants are still waiting on their hearing and will remain waiting until 4 people can be found that will accept those locations. They may be wondering how they are going to make their house payment or buy food for their kids. Please don't be responsible for this grief.

Barring absence of any other pertinent information If you selected all, and your score is 72 then you should be checking your spam filter and if no email by tomorrow, contact ocalj. selecting all increases your chances, it does not decrease them |
