I tried to copy and paste the list but my skills won't allow this. If anyone has a particular site they are interested in and want to know if anyone is on the list to transfer to or from that site, then post here. I will check a couple times a week and let people know the numbers to and from a specific site.
I don't have the time to create a master list of all sites but will be happy to help those interested in certain sites. I think most will be interested in the "to" list, but I will give info on either.

Thanks for the interest. Any word on transfers to Charleston (SC), Mobile (AL), New Orleans, or Tulsa (OK)?

I answered the Tulsa question the other day in another post: One has requested a transfer in. No requests out. Pix.

I wish there was a way to post the whole list. I am curious about a number of locations but will keep my request to 2 of the more obscure locations: Eugene, Oregon and Kingsport, TN. I would be interested in knowing both how many want to go there and how many want to leave.
Thanks,
Chris

By the way, I do realize that I may wind up so far down the list that my name will need life support, but I still like to plan as if I'm going to make it. I know there were some people on the old board who were so certain they were going to be on top of the list that they were very annoying. I'm not at all sure where I will be on the list. The SI was, as others have stated, odd.

The transfer list can be misleading. A significant number of judges remain on the transfer list but then decline transfers when they are offered.

Good point. I have a tendency to think about the judges' options the same way I think about the options those of us have who are trying to get on the register. We can only reject one city or we are off the list, but I guess the judges can reject as many cities as they want. I note that 2 judges want to move to region X but maybe they don't want Spokane.

Mobile was one of my cities, too, but the fact that three are leaving makes it look like a mass exodus. Anyone know anything about Mobile?
Also, what about Colorado Springs?

Sometimes with pro sports teams it's the bad guy who wants to leave. Still, 3 wanting to leave at one time is probably not good.
If I could make a request, I would like to know about Sacramento and Salt Lake City, both the ins and the outs.

Salt Lake City 1 out 2 in Sacramento 0 out 1 in However, from all I hear, there will not be vacancies filled on the left coast or region 1, since the need is far greater in regions 4, 5 and 7 they will get the bulk of new judges, whether new hires or transfers. That's what happens when the ALJ corps is smaller than it should be, which is about 1250. The areas of greatest need get the slots.

Another point to remember is that one judge may be on the list for several locations, although he can only be chosen for one of them.
Also, I wouldn't attach much significance to the fact that several judges are on the transfer list out of an office. Transfers are driven more by where one wants to be and not by where one wants not to be.

Finally, the transfer list, for wannabes, is just an exercise in navel gazing. Ultimately, it is the needs of the agency and the available office space that will determine where new hires go. The transfer list is mildly interesting but not dispositive of anything, from your standpoint.

Amen. My mother always repeated the bromide that if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.

odarite states:

BTW, thanks for your postings. 1250 applied, we don't know how many made the three cuts to make (or will make) the new register from which ODAR and rest of the agencies who (and I mean no disrespect to anyone) may take the newbies. What is the anticipated "take" of ODAR? And if ODAR doesn't know us and/or our experience is before another agency, will that matter one iota to them?
