Sorry, I meant Dover in Delaware. I believe that is the only hearing office in that state.

What about Dover, Delaware and Colorado Springs? I can tell you about Colorado Springs. It is a 5 judge office in a beautiful facility with highly productive judges and staff. The office has been without a Chief Judge for the better part of two years. Total monthly reciepts would arguably justify a sixth judge. Rather than expose the office to an unknown commodity, Region has delayed choosing a Chief so they could use that selction process to bring in another high producer. One judge is on the transfer list to leave but he is not likely to go anywhere. There are a number of judges on the transfer list to come in but it is unlikely that an opening will be made to accommodate them. There is zero chance that there will be any movement in Springs during this hiring cycle.

Any info on Oak Park MI or Detroit MI? Well, this is a first. I have checked the New Transfer Lists and discovered that there are no requests to transfer into or out of either of those locations. Oak Park, MI = 0 in and 0 out Detroit, MI = 0 in and 0 out Since I have no personal knowledge of those offices, I cannot offer any explanation. Perhaps someone else can help with that.

Unverified report on old board indicating that at least one transfer offer has been made this week.
Can anyone confirm that transfer offers are being made?

That would be so sweet if they were starting. I can barely wait. Anyone know stats on the comings and goings from the following offices as far as ALJ transfers: Manhattan, White Plains, Albany, Syracuse, Queens, Bronx, Newark, Voorhees, Harrisburg, Philly East and West, Wilkes Barre.

This is list as of July 9. Also, Philadelphia and Philadelphia East are identified on the list, no Philadelphia W is listed, I assumed philly west is Philadelphia. Elkins Park appears popular, 4 to there. Isn't that philly area?

Could Elkins Park be the Reading office that was opened 5-10 years ago for the recently-resigned, long-time RCALJ Wojo?

The Elkins Park hearing office, formerly Jenkintown, is in a suburb of Philadelphia [about 20 minutes from downtown by car]. There is no such thing as "Philly West," just Philadelphia. Philadelphia East is the welfare reform office that for unknown reasons (unlike e.g. Manhattan South) was not closed when it became apparent that welfare reform was not resulting in the expected increase in appeals; possibly East was not closed because the Philadelphia hearing office has been for decades a disaster by the "productivity" measures applied by OHA.

But, when I get back in a few hours, I will respond with updates as of new list.

Reassignment Register updated 10/5/07 shows:0 from NY, 2 to NY1 from Newark 0 white plains, 2 to White Plains 0 from Albany, 0 to Albany 0 from syracuse, 1 to Syracuse0 from Queens, 1 to Queens1 from the Bronx, 1 to Bronx1 from Harrisburg, 1 to Harrisburg 3 from Philadelphia east, 1 to Philly E 0 from Philly west, 2 to Philadelphia 0 from Voorhees 0 from Wilkes-Barre To clarify the changes between the two Transfer Lists, I have underlined the entries that differ from those provided above. Don't get discouraged by all the increased requests for your favorite cities. You should keep in mind that a judge is permitted to list his/her name for 3 cities at the same time. So, several of the requests for transfer to a particular location can be made by the same ALJ. As a result, if the ALJ is offered and accepts transfer to Philly East, s/he would not be available for transfer to Harrisburg or Philly West.

At least one judge has confirmed offers being made on AALJ board. Things will be picking up.
