I agree with Christine, although i appealed, i don't think you had to appeal to be eligible under the changed circumstances.

If you feel you did ok on the online part.... I wouldn't prepay for an August or September vacation. Huh? Funky is simply stating that it is likely you may have to go to D.C. in August or September for the WD/SI, so don't prepay for any vacation you might not be able to get your money back on because of the need to go to D.C. for the WD/SI portion of the examination. I hope that clears it up for you aurora.

I think you're OK so far. When we applied in 2013, I applied 3/7; the open period closed 3/15; and I received an email on 4/11 inviting me to take the SJT, WS, and EA. So, I think you are not likely to hear back until after 6/2. Since you've already cleared the preliminary qualifications, it might be quite soon after 6/2, depending on how long it takes OPM to decide on the new cutoff score for going to DC for testing. So maybe in a couple of agonizing weeks they'll let you know. Gary correct me if I am wrong, but I thought there was more than several weeks between when we took the second part of the test and when we received correspondence about moving on to the D.C. phase. However, since there are likely less scores this time to deal with and less people, it might be OPM is a lot quicker in getting out information about the D.C. phase. Either way good luck to all of those in the process. You are right. The last day to take the online testing for me at least was 5/10 and on 7/11 I received my invitation to take the proctored component in DC. I was just trying to pass along the timeframe we had for getting to the online parts.

On the basis of that astute observation, I am surprised you did not also pick up on the Woolworth's reference 3 words earlier.

But Woolworth's didn't give out any free items.....LOL! True, but when everything cost only a nickel or a dime (when they started out anyway), free was less of an issue.

I have also received the same e-mail as Hope. My situation was that I did receive notification to move on to the online component. I then suffered perhaps the largest brain cramp known to man when I failed to begin it. I won't make that mistake again! I received the exact same survey that has been posted, identical down to the time it was sent, 12:36pm.

Thank you. And great Board. Lots of great information, with input from a lot of really smart people.

Complete failure to insert important pop-culture reference - I'm so disappointed! So here you go (and you're welcome for the ear worm): I was working part time in a five-and-dime My boss was Mr. McGee He told me several times that he didn't like my kind 'Cause I was a bit too leisurely...

I heard through an unimpeachable source that ALJs are being recruited to conduct interviews for OPM this summer (or early fall, not sure). Thus, the Wheel of Fortune begins to spin once again. To all applicants, good luck!
