lawyernj, i am in that group and have not heard anything yet. not to say i will but as of yet, i have heard nothing from opm on that issue. i agree with Gary it is unlikely anyone will hear anything until the online portion for those currently testing has been graded. their testing, per this board, ends on July 5th. Online testing open from 12:00 midnight June 22 through 11:59 p.m. July 6th. Good luck to those taking the online portion!!! May your internet connection be speedy and reliable.

Quick question, since it does seem like there will be a second sub group batch from round 2, and the testing for the successful appeals from round 1 ends on July 6th, 2015, just the boards best guess on when if anytime the second round new sub group bunch would get notice from OPM, just a guess, and conjecture and pure speculation are always welcome.

View AttachmentThis is difficult to guess as we have no idea how many people are actually testing at this time. It could be a month or more depending upon the numbers of candidates being processed through again. By the way, I love the bulldog photo. He/she is such a cutie. (Of course, I am partial to bulldogs.)

In 2013, the deadline to finish the online testing was 5/10/2013 and I received my invite to the Big DC Dance 7/11/2013.
Based on that, my best guess is this year's group will get notice from OPM the first week of September.

Thanks Moopigsdad, she is a good luck charm, and quite the administrative helper around the office.

A guess is OPM will be sending something out in July. Remember they indicated that the DC portion will be taking place in the Summer and Fall. I would anticipate it might start in August, September, and October. I surmise further those taking the online portion will know in September and would be scheduled for October DC testing. Just my take.

more or less agree with above post. there was a rumor about judges being invited to conduct interviews before the end of fiscal year, which is Sept 30th. i want to say they may be headed to DC in August or Sept?

A birdie told me that OPM interviews will start Aug. 31 and run thereafter for 3 weeks or more. At least those 3 weeks is all I heard about.

Longtime lurker...first time poster... Has anybody previously rejected after R2 been advised that they meet the new standards? Or is this something that will wait until after the other people complete the online portion? I too have heard nothing---keep checking the board and my email awaiting some notice. Someone sent me into a mild panic today with an ALJ posting alert but it turned out it was the DOL posting for ALJs not opening putting out a new posting for applicants.

Well, friends, I celebrated the 4th of July by completing the SJT, Writing Sample and Experience Assessment. However, I fear that I may have made a fatal procedural error, or perhaps the system did me in. I won't go into detail except to say that I am pretty upset, especially since I had to wait two years after my application to get the go-ahead to take the online component. I may not have the heart to be on here again for a while. I don't mean to sound so down-in-the-mouth...maybe it's not the end. I appreciate all of you and wish you the best of luck.

hang in there, it is a long and winding road Thanks, hopingfor. I did send an e-mail to check on things, but I'm not too optimistic. By any chance - does anyone out there have a phone number I might be able to call on Monday?

Good luck.

There's a guy at OPM who is in charge of the ALJ testing. His first name is Louis, but I can't remember his last name. Perhaps someone else on the board might remember. He's actually very nice although seemed to be quite busy herding cats through this process. If you email the ALJ Team at OPM (you should have gotten your emails from them) he or someone else will answer. It just takes a few days.

I just tried to call the number provided by funkyodar - no answer after several rings. I did send an e-mail on Sat. to ALJApplication@opm.gov and got an acknowledgement right away. This gives me such a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, since today is the 6th, in other words, D Day. One way or the other, of course I "carry on" but I had hoped to be truly done with this part of the process at least by now.

. It will not be done until its done. Once you enter into this process you must abandon logic or you will go mad. I knew louis' name because I had to email him a lot. They will get back to you. Email is better than phoning.

I agree Liz, time here is measured in months and years, it is a long process and there is nothing I have found that would equate to fast, but time passes anyways, so might as well have something to wait for

I agree Liz, time here is measured in months and years, it is a long process and there is nothing I have found that would equate to fast, but time passes anyways, so might as well have something to wait for And as long as this process is, it is nothing compared to those before us who had to wait through the Azdell litigation when the register was frozen. All perspective.
All of us on this current register applied in March 2013 (minus a few vets who were able to jump in at various times) and telling you all to have patience is easy for me to say since I only waited a mere 2 years plus to get the offer. But remember, there will be hiring well into 2016 and many of you will get the call next year. Of those who will not receive a call at all, you do not know you are totally out until you start seeing cities appear on certs that you were on and then you are no longer receiving the cert emails. I think THAT is the only solid evidence indicating you have likely been struck. Until that happens, keep going about your lives, check your email like you have been, and watch the board!
Good luck all! I am pulling for you!

Well friends...I just got the relief of my life in the form of an e-mail from the OPM ALJ office. The "fatal error" I thought I had made, in fact, I did not make! Wait...I need to re-read the e-mail again to be sure... YES!! I realize of course that there's no guarantee I'll be invited to the DC round but at least I'm still in the running. Like most of you, I really want one of these jobs, and am just over-the-moon happy that my SJT, WS and EA are submitted and certified!
