Here is a little song I wrote You might want to sing it note for note Don't worry be happy In every life we have some trouble When you worry you make it double Don't worry, be happy...... Bobby McFerrin 1988

The hard part is that the rest of my life doesn't sit still for this process; decisions and commitments have to be made and cannot be deferred forever. . . You're tellin' me! I encountered many forks in the road while waiting for this process to move forward. Just as an example, my old office lease was up and I moved to a new office at the end of last year with a new lease. I also had to renew some very costly subscriptions recently, for at least a year (or the prices would have gone up dramatically). These weren't earth shattering choices I faced, but involved alot of expense. I've been putting off the yellow page folks for over a month now and the photocopier lease is up. I would hate to miss the yellow pages deadline, but I would be equally unhappy committing to a year long contract when I may be going in some other direction soon. Ah, but hopefully by Thursday ... In the meantime, I try (not always successfully) to focus on the here and now. I'm not sure I can follow the advice of "Don't worry, be happy", but I'm workin' on it. As Seals and Crofts once said, "Life, so they say, is but a game and we let it slip away." Don't let time just slip away while waiting for this phone call, as "we may never pass this way again."

While I understand and appreciate your point, jh, the fact that the rest of our lives are not waiting on SSA means there is a window for some of us that may soon close....I want this job, but chasing windmills doesn't pay the bills. Well, there IS that! I admit, waiting between concrete opportunities, or for an opportunity when you are not in one currently is different than waiting for a change.

Wednesday! Hump Day! (Now see ? All that angst last week and early this week ? Fer nuthin' !!) Lyrics for today, compliments of Sailor Moon: "It's a New Day" Got up this morning, On the right side of my bed, With all these crazy thoughts, Screaming through my head. I can't wait to see, What this world holds for me. Oh..... It's a new day, Oh..... It's a new day. . . . It feels so good to be alive, Even if a little rain should fall, 'Cause every moment, Brings a new surprise to us all. ;D Oh..... It's a new day, Oh..... It's a new day, Oh..... It's a new day, Oh..... It's a new day.

Woke up, it was an ODAR morning And the first thing that I heard Was an offer on my cell phone, A moving truck parked on the 'walk, Men unloading crates and boxes To pack my books and tuxes; Won't you stay, we'll eat cheese all day And we'll talk of claimants' senses.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Igor, would you mind telling me whose brain I did put in? Igor: And you won't be angry? Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: I will NOT be angry. Igor: Abby someone. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Abby someone. Abby who? Igor: Abby Normal. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Abby Normal? Igor: I'm almost sure that was the name. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA? [shakes and grabs him] Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?

Could be! Who knows? There’s something’ due any day; I will know right away Soon as it shows. It may come cannonballin’ Down through the sky, Gleam in its eye, Bright as a rose!
Who knows?
It’s only just out of reach, Down the block, on a beach, Under a tree. I got a feelin’ there’s a miracle due, Gonna come true, Comin’ to me!
Could it be? Yes, it could. Something’s coming, something’ good, If I can wait! Something’s comin’, I don’t know what it is But it is gonna be great!
With a click, with a shock, Phone’ll jingle, door’ll knock Open the latch! Something’s comin’, don’t know when, But it’s soon-- Catch the moon, One-handed catch! Around the corner, Or whistling’ down the river, Come on -- deliver To me! [to us]
Will it be? Yes, it will. Maybe just by holdin’ still It’ll be there! Come on, something’, come on in, Don’t be shy, Meet a guy [gal], Pull up a chair!
The air is hummin’, And something’ great is comin’! Who knows? It’s only just out of reach, Down the block, on a beach.
Maybe [today]... Maybe [today] ... Maybe [today]!
- Stephen Sondheim

CTB, while we are quietly waiting, I have a question. If I decide to accessorize my robe with a wolf pelt, should the head be over the left or right shoulder?

Morgullord, I'd hate to see you commit a fashion blunder. . .wolf pelts have been out for a decade or longer. Badger is what's in . . .and which shoulder you drape the head over depends on your clan ranking in the Grand and Mystic Order of ALJs Disfigured by the Hiring Process [commonly called the GAMOA DHP].
Obviously, its time to sign off until tomorrow. Happy trails everyone. . .

Morgullord, I have to say I'm relieved for myself and my buddy, Booboo, that you're not interested in accessorizing with Bear pelts. I'm a nice bear, and I hate to have to deal with that.....
"Hey hey hey, Booboo, Let's go ..."
