shadow: Way to go! "Young Frankenstein" is one of the greatest comedies of all time. What a fantastic (yet typical) Mel Brooks cast! All they needed was Harvey Korman ("Blazing Saddles", "High Anxiety") to really round out the group. Dr. Frankenstein: (gazing up at the doors to Frankenstein castle) "What a huge set of [door] knockers! Helga(Terri Garr): OOh, 'sank you doctor! I love this movie!

The last time I watched Young Frankenstein, I noticed for the first time that Gene Hackman was in it. He was the blind man. Mel Brooks movies are among my favorite. I think I might go home and watch "High Anxiety" this evening just to calm down. ;D

Greetings, Earthlings! This is my first blog so I'm really not sure what/how to write to the esteemed members of this group, all anxiously awaiting word and referencing Mel Brooks movies and other arcane bits. ((("Walk this way" says Igor))) I expect that no one this site has violated the infamous "WingWalker Doctrine" (The first rule of WingWalking in an aerial circus is "'Don't Let Go' of what you've got until you got hold of something else"). So, if nothing else, rest easy, knowing that you won't fall off the edge if things don't go your way with the SSA.

Watching High Anxiety tonight makes sense. Or better yet, maybe just checking myself into the Psychoneurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous until the calls come. BLTN

Has anyone thought about just calling Pat Rocheford and asking what the status of the offers is?

Has anyone thought about just calling Pat Rocheford and asking what the status of the offers is? I've considered it but I'm afraid of possible repercussions. Has anyone tried this yet? Any volunteers? Maybe someone not on the certificate?

knownuthin: Harvey Korman is ridiculously funny in "High Anxiety", especially his scenes with Cloris Leachman ("Nurse Diesel"). I also recall reading that Gene Hackman was so impressed with the "Young Frankenstein" script, he begged them to write in a scene just for him.
"Where're you goin? I was goin' to make espresso?!" -Gene Hackman in "Young Frankenstein"
