True story. My children have really begun to notice my constant compulsion to check this board. Enough that my 10 year old says to me "Dad, you are CDO with that message board" I said "you mean OCD" She responds "Same thing. Just in alphabetical order." Lol. I guess I'm CDO.

Is it just me, or does it seem odd to anyone else that this thread has not blown up? Gary posted the initial msg at approximately 5:30 PM. Since that time, as far as I can tell, not a single soul has chimed in that he has received an actual call from an interview scheduler. I received a call earlier - got the voice mail a few minutes ago. Will call back first thing tomorrow. Median ish score, wide ish gal.

Do you mind telling us the area code? Using jedi mind tricks on my phone seems to work better when I know part of the number I'm willing the call from. :-)
And congrats on getting to that all important interview stage!

I got the call yesterday around 2 or 3. Didn't call back until after 5. Not surprised that no one picked up. I left a message and will call back tomorrow. Call came from DC area.

I got the call yesterday and was there to receive it. Scheduled interview for week of May 2. I was only given that week as an option, so I don't think there will be two weeks of interviews as first reported.

Since we've confirmed that hocalj's were solicited for both weeks, it is more likely that the interview callers were instructed to fill the first week with the pile of names they were given and fill the second week with a different list they have not yet been given. However... Could this be a reason for ssa to already "know" they wont meet the hiring goal? They didn't get enough volunteers to have two weeks of interviews? If they know they can only interview 1/2 the number they wanted, that could cause them to predict a shortfall in hiring? Just wag theory.

As a fellow neurotic / CDO'er...
Anyone already getting a call for an interview who wouldn't mind sending me a pm of your score (not exact just the whole number) and the number of your cities on your GAL, I would be grateful.
Heck if a got enough I could post a summary and still protect anonymity. That is until there are enough people scheduled that it merits the G-man to do a poll.

Or maybe they didn't get enough names for two weeks of interviews? Given this is the first time people on register are being looked at with new GALs and the addition of the Oct - Dec test takers, that seems an unlikely senario, given an 81 city cert.

Or maybe they didn't get enough names for two weeks of interviews? That would be my thought, though it would be rather surprising. I would think that would mean far fewer than 100 new, uninterviewed (made up word) names on the certs given the frequency of SSA interviews. Maybe OPM relied heavily on expanded GALs from the register's OGs?

Got the call late yesterday while I was in court. Got call back after leaving messages just now, and got scheduled for 1st week of May. Was told ODAR will follow-up in a couple of days with instructions on arranging the travel and confirming the interview date and time. Also told that I'd get a questionnaire and list of cities in a few days as well - I assume the cert notice.

How many days does it usually take them to finish the calls? Do I start drinking situational bourbon after today or sometime next week?

Way too to panic (or attack the liver). This typically goes on for at 4-5 days. If there are really 2 weeks to schedule it will likely go even longer.
And keep in mind, if you get a cert email on Monday, they will interview you, it juse may take some time to get to scheduling you. So if the email goes out on the 11th, you should have a clear answer by then, and then you are free to treat your liver as you wish.

How many days does it usually take them to finish the calls? Do I start drinking situational bourbon after today or sometime next week? In the past when they've started making the calls for interviews pre-cert emails, those calls have continued post-cert emails. In similar circumstances in November 2014 I received my own call post-cert emails. I wouldn't hit the hooch until after I found I wasn't on Bobellinda's mailing list. Except, of course, recreationally.
