Two months since the application deadline and still absolutely nothing. OPM has exceeded every WAG that had been thrown out there...personally, I thought the online testing would've been completed by now. There had been some theorizing that the HR hiring would delay the process, and it looks like those theories were correct. Only time will tell at this point.

The changes from HR pending to another status seems to have stopped several weeks ago. However, there have been some reports of changes from "see details" to "Awaiting results" over the last few weeks. So, in addition to the HR issues causing delays that Gaidin correctly predicted, it appears possible that OPM is conducting a more detailed secondary review of those that were initially rejected based on the experience requirement.
I love the smell of rank speculation in the morning.

Nobody likes an - I told you so - especially when they are right! Not much we can do about it - oh well such is life. Is it time for a cocktail yet?

Perhaps they will play catch up on the other end.

Perhaps they will play catch up on the other end. If OPM is doing the check now that they did at the end in 2013/14 when they found several people who had tested in DC lacked the basic qualifications (didn't prove active law license, etc.), maybe. But I wouldn't bet on it.

And before the nay-saying commences I just want to recite Catspaw's moniker: "Two wolves fight: one, despair; the other, hope. Who wins? The one you feed."
So chow down!

I remember the anxiousness I approached the OPM testing process with, when I first started it in 2013. I could hardly wait for a response at every level of the testing process. However, you will find out that the process to get on the OPM register is slow and even once on the register you can linger for years.
Therefore, the process is not for individuals seeking immediate gratification or answers, it doesn't happen that way with the federal government. It's a lot of hurry up and wait. The best advice I can give all of you new to the OPM testing process and federal agency hiring process is to learn patience as you will need a lot of it in this entire process. Patience is the key to maintaining your sanity and wellness during the process.
Continue on with your life and look for other opportunities as they arise for you. There is no guarantee of an ALJ position, as many on this Board can tell you. Buy any lottery tickets lately? Your chances are almost as good to win the lottery. (It's not that bad, but I am trying to make a point here.) Do not think just because you make it through OPM's gauntlet you are assured an ALJ position. It doesn't work that way.
It was only when I stopped worrying about it after being on the Register for a couple of years that I was offered a position with OMHA. I used to fret and check the Board constantly at first, like many of you, but then I decided if fate wanted me to have the position, I would be called whether or not I checked the Board constantly or fretting about it. Once, I accepted that advice, I was offered a position within three months. Those three months of not constantly checking the Board or fretting were my most enjoyable months in a long time, since I started the OPM testing process. Good luck to all of you! May you all win the ALJ lottery.

I greatly value being able to come to the board and confirm that everyone else knows as little as I do about what is going on. I relish knowing 100% of the zero amount of information that we have.

I'm starting to look at this as a hobby of sorts. I go to work every day and in my spare time I try to get hired as an ALJ. I read the forum, research where I can and otherwise try to get really good at applying to be an ALJ. If I ever actually do get hired, I suspect nobody will be more surprised than I.

I am still in "awaiting results" status. Are there many people still in this status as well? Yes!! From what I read, "Awaiting results" is good..."See details" is bad!! Now we wait for the emails!!!

Stop. People please, if you are moving on to the second round, don't post in this thread! This is Application Manger. There is a dedicated thread for those of you who received the email inviting you to the second round of testing. Look at the Board and see if you can figure which thread it is.
I only have two sets of fingers and both are about worn out with moving posts to the correct thread. Pixie.
Edit Note: I see that the off topic posts have been delete. Good

Setting aside the fact that a large part of the discussion in this thread is about whether anybody has received emails for Phase II, my post about receiving the email also stated that the AM status hadn't changed. Thus, I posted in this thread. You moved it to the other thread and then promptly admonished us for posting about AM in that thread. You burn ants with a magnifying glass in your spare time don't ya?

Hey, yesterday was a rough day. It wasn't made better by newbies posting in whichever thread suited their fancy. I'm telling you, once the AM posts spread into other threads, all is lost as the newbies will take over all of those threads with discussions about AM. Or they will branch out and discuss their invite emails in multiple threads. How do I know? Because I have been here since the inception of the board. I see it every cycle. For some reason this current group is slow to catch on. But once you guys get it, it will be simple. And Bayou, you are one I thought had quickly caught on. I was proud of you. Now I'm not so sure. Pixie.
