It appears that each new batch of applicants obsess over Application Manager and repetitively make hundreds of posts with basically the same questions and answers. Below I will post links to prior threads that discussed this topic ad nauseaum. After reading the posts, hopefully that will answer all of your questions. If not, feel free to post away. Pixie. aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/3684/updated-statusaljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/3652/dreaded-details-tab-doom?page=4aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/3637/status-completealjdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/3653/application-manager-hours-any-meaningAnd here is one more thoroughly obsessive thread about my favorite topic: aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/2160/status-changed-awaiting-results-notifiedOur Friend gunner left us these words of advice in a time capsule from back in 2013. You need to READ this one. aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/2196/travel-details-means-rejected-sorryAnd here is a summary by Bayou of what Application Manager can tell you. You need to READ this. It was posted back before bayou went bad, and is an excellent summary. "My take on AM: 1) It isn't really helpful in predicting the timing of the NOR release. In 2013, status changes occurred in December and NORs were released in March. 2) If it says "complete" at the top and nothing else, you will make the register. 3) If it says "complete see details" at the top, it is 95% certain you did not make the register. So, not point in obsessing over AM but I'm not going to ignore it. I'll check it every couple of weeks and when somebody else reports a status change on the board, I'll check daily until my status changes." Addendum by bayou:: "Pixie You may want to add to the first page that in 2017, unlike prior years, everyone's status initially changed to complete and then some changed to SD. So, at least in 2017, you couldn't rely on that initial status of complete." Edit Note by Pixie: This is the only thread in which Application Manager may be discussed, mentioned or even thought about. If you do mention it in another thread, you do so at your own peril and may be punished summarily for your transgression. As a predictive tool, bayou, in his comments above, has told you all you need to know about AM. Pixie

This is the thread by 2013 applicants that I was referring to when I suggested that a status change to "awaiting results" might be a good sign: aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/2062?page=3It appears that most applicants received their email to take the online test right before or after seeing the status change. The forum vets, however, agree that it probably doesn't mean much at this point in the process.

Pixie this is the my 3rd time at the show, if only the new peeps knew how long of a show it really is, no worry about app manager, many many other things to worry about , as always good luck to all, and good luck to those interviewing with SSA soon.

Agreed. For some reason Application Manager causes angst and obsession. I have locked the prior threads discussing A.M. so everyone will need to do the obsessing in this thread. I am surprised we haven't heard from serious worrywart about his A.M. He needs to chime in so we will know he is OK. Although it may be that he is in Falls Church worrying about the interview. Pixie.

Well, y'all talk about how many applicants don't make the first cut previously and then expect us to not be monitoring the only thing that tells us a status as to that first cut.
As I said before, there is a difference between stressing out about it and monitoring it.

It's hard for most of us not to. Just keep in mind that we have not found most of the stuff you'll find there to have discernible significance to what OPM is doing or is about to do.

Or that any changes mean you will soon receive notice of what the changes mean. Even if you aren't stressing about it your trying to read tea leaves. We can be reasonably certain that "see details" means you will not receive a numerical score and "complete" means you will. Before that everything is seemingly random changes in status.

I agree with you about monitoring, but if you look at some of the threads I have posted, you will see there is a whole lot of stressing and obsessing. As Gary said above, it really makes no discernible difference. Pixie.

Nice comment Debbie. It gave me a good laugh. This current herd will soon shape up and learn what is going on. It would have been much easier to herd them had they spent time on the West bank of the Hudson, but that is asking too much. Duty, Honor, Country. Pixie. EDIT NOTE BY PIXIE: In looking at these comments I see that I thanked Debbie for the comment, but it was 2rvrrun who made it. So a belated thanks to 2rvrrun. Pixie

It's hard to refrain from a little guesswork, clearly. But, based on one reported status change two days ago and nothing more...eh. I'm sure there's a lesson here, but I'm choosing to ignore it and encourage rank speculation, reckless even.

"It is a long way to the top" as ACDC said in a song, and I know it was a long time ago, good luck to the interview peeps at SSA, and good luck to all

Meow, which way is the herd going? I am always lost Not herd...it is a clowder!!

Yes, it is. Thank you for reminding us.
Also another term used to describe a group of cats, is a glaring of cats. Pixie.

So is she actually clowdering cats? or is she glaring cats?
I know for a fact she glares at many of the cats on this board...
