My application shows "Pending HR Specialist Action". Any significance considering others have received "Status Complete"?

My application shows "Pending HR Specialist Action". Any significance considering others have received "Status Complete"? The "status complete" designation refers to your application questionnaire, meaning you submitted an application and have taken the process as far as you can on your end. You'll find that in the top section of your application package status in application manager under assessments. The pending HR specialist action lets you know that the next step is on their end, meaning your successfully submitted application must be reviewed by OPM. I guess a shorter way to say this is no, there is no significance. If you look closely, you should have both these statuses.

Same 4/25/15 date as the others posting here...does anyone have any sample competency question writings or can you suggest resource for review?

brcpesq - I think the consensus on this board is that 1. they closely guard the questions and 2. as this is an entirely new process no one is really sure what the questions are going to be so even if you were able to get your hands on old questions, they may not be relevant. I am applying for first time as well so I have no personal knowlege other than what the old timers have been posting on this board as well as talking to friends who are ALJs. That being said, I have searched high and low and have been unable to find any sample questions. If you do happen to find old questions, I would be interested in seeing them! Cheers

thanks zebra51! I'll take a look at the samples, but as the other thread indicated, it's not really something you can practice for per se, but getting your mind in gear and reviewing other sample writings is always a good idea

I assume that others have received the email with link to take tests after 4/29? Any suggestions as to how to prepare for the SJT? Thanks!

I assume that others have received the email with link to take tests after 4/29? Any suggestions as to how to prepare for the SJT? Thanks! I haven't received anything. Wondering whether that means I didn't make it through or that OPM just hasn't finished reviewing my submission. I did not submit my application until the closing date, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of my application not having been reviewed yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

I did not receive anything either. I too applied on 3/15/13, very late in the day (about 5pm EST). If anyone has received a link for further testing and are past the "Pending HR Specialist" page, please post.

I expect it's the latter--I sent my application in really early--and then regretted it. (:

My status still says Pending HR specialist also. No emails sent to me about the SJT or anything. I am also on this old list and waiting for an interview, as I made the certificate for this small class they are working on now.

My status remains Pending HR Specialist, and like hop2it, I submitted early and then wished I'd taken my time and lengthened my resume, and ...

What exactly did the message say? They will provide further instructions as to the date?

I received an email which provides a link for the next three tests--and a time frame (starting 4/29) for taking the tests. But as I said, I applied on the very first day, so I am sure other folks will get the same email soon.

Is there no ending date provided? Is it allowing you to take as long as you want to respond?

I seem to remember that the original job announcement described which elements in the next stages had time limits, and what they were. So, before diving in to any of them, and thereby "starting the clock", I'd check that job announcement. I'd relax about not getting the email yet... there are obviously thousands of these to go out, and we don't know how they are going about passing people through, and in what order the emails are being sent. Breathe in, breathe out...
