I reviewed application status in USA jobs and it says "Status not available". I applied directly through Application Manager, not the "apply online" through USA jobs.
The USA jobs website explains - If you did not apply to the job announcement with your USAJOBS resume through the apply online button, we cannot track your application.
That is the message you will get under Application Status in USAJOBS if you applied through application manager. So it will never give a status in USA jobs unless you applied through USA jobs. In application manager it says it received the USA jobs resume and I can even see my USAJOBS resume on the list of received docs. - Go figure

If i remember correctly, during the last exam, it was at least a couple of months before we were advised we had qualified to move on to the next step. Given how long they are leaving this new announcement open, i suspect it will take some time to rate all of the applications. Wish someone would start a poll to guess how many applications will have been made by the close of the exam announcement . I don't believe that at this step there is any rating of the applications. All that is going on is the HR specialist are reviewing for 7 years and a license. That should take anywhere from 10-20 minutes per app (or less) to check those two items. My guess is that once that is done all those that receive the two positive checks will get a group email saying complete step two (SJT, WT, and Experience) by April 24, 2013. The waiting months for an initial grade/proceed to next step will start after 4/24. I have no guess on the number of applications. But wonder if anyone has a guess on percentage that will not have all "i" doted and "t" crossed. Any guess on percentage that wont' get the two checks (due to "oops" or not having 7/license)? 10% 25% 50%

Got that from application manager. But did not notice till now that it is 4/24/15. Thought was 4/24/13 and assumed that would be when next step would have to be completed.
Well you know what they say about assuming. But still think after the "two checks" will get a group email with some end date to complete step 2. Then the waiting will begin after step two.

zebra51 - I'd say 50% get weeded out due to incomplete apps or lack of required experience. Care to wager LOL. Of course it would probably take a FOIA request to find out how many applied and how many made it to the next step, but I would def be interested in hearing the statistics!

From a telephone conversation this morning with the Application Help Desk, 4,043 complete applications have been received so far..... Lots more will surely come in before the deadline....
Also recommended checking ApplicationManager's "Checklist and Messages" board regularly for information about the next steps in the process, in addition to personal email and voicemail.

Very helpful and very nice - but must be extremely busy there today....

Email to ApplicationManagerHelpDesk@opm.gov. I sent from my gmail address. Good luck!
By the way, at the end of the conversation, the person who I spoke with even asked me to call back and let her know in the event that I am offered a position as an alj.

maybe - Nevermind my request for the phone number. I just got a phone call in response to my email in which I asked for verification that they had my SSN. The help desk person who called me was wonderful and she confirmed that they have my SSN and that I'm "good to go." If anyone else is having this SSN problem and wants verbal verification from her that they have it, her direct line is 478-744-2176.

I too just sent an email and within thirty minutes rec'd a response! I am not sure what the deal was before. So stljoe21 - it sounds like everyone probably entered it to set up an account, is that what you are gathering?

jsteeleky - Yes. That's what the help desk gal told me. She said that the SSN is encrypted and that even she can't see the whole number, but she verified the last four digits, so she knows its on my application. It was very reassuring to get her call. Glad you got one, too. Best of luck to you!

Received application status "Pending HR Specialist Action." Under Details: Assessment Questionnaire - "OK;" External Assessment - "No Results Yet," with Due Date: 4/24/2015. But also received "Not Received" message for the following: "Other Veterans Document," "DD-214,"and "SF-15." I am not a veteran, I did not indicate any veteran preferences, but received this message. I immediately sent a message to the Help Desk who responded they are working on it. To date, the problem has not been fixed. I have since sent more requests but receive the same message they are working on it. Any guidance on this???

They didn't receive it because you're not a vet and you didn't send it. The message just shows up because that's something you could have submitted if you were eligible. I had the same message when I applied 3 years ago. It didn't interfere any with the process.

Agreed. It will show that you didn't send in veteran related documents even if you didn't claim the preference. It did that in 2009, too.

Just got a call from Linda in the Help Desk and she confirmed all that you both said regarding the Veteran status. She was very helpful. Thanks again.
