dw, thank you very much for confirming what I believed to be true. I've actually received an NOR to tell me that despite having graduated law school over 20 years ago, I did not have 7 years experience. It came by email.
That evening I revised my application to reflect where I thought I erred in explaining my experience and resubmitted the following day. That was March 9th. I'm still waiting for a response.
This was after you went to DC?

Apologies, in an effort to be sensitive to others, I was unclear. All I've done is submit my application. Two months later, I received an NOR that I did not have the requisite experience. Since I'm a 10 pt vet and can apply anytime, I elected to re-apply, rather than appeal the determination. I tried to gloss over that, in deference to those who do not have such a benefit.

Suffice to say, you earned that right to reapply.

New WAG. OPM is waiting until all testers finish testing before starting to input the results into AM. Once the snow day testers finish testing in May, we will start to see status changes in Voldemort within a week. Not the issuance of NORs mind you but the status changes that are the canary in the coal mine for NORs.

Or perhaps they are waiting until everyone has been tested before packing all the WDs in a U-Haul and driving them to the Phoenix home of the lone retired ALJ who will grade them three mornings a week.

That sounds depressingly like a government SOP.

If read properly it can give a head's up as to whether one has made the register. Pixie

Just not sure I'll check mine for a status change in case "The Oracle of the AM" is misinterpreted by the board. However, the sooner the answer the better. I'm discovering the truth in the saying, "pull out one gray hair and three will show up for the funeral."

I'm not sure sure that status changes will occur within a week post-testing but I do think the NORs will be released 3-4 months after the status changes appear.

I'm hoping the 3-month delay (between status change and NOR) that the last class suffered was an anomaly! Fingers crossed that we won't have to wait as long for the emails to go out.

Pixie Pixie, you left the computer on with your account logged in again. The damn neighborhood kids! No, that was me. AM does give us that tidbit of information; however, OPM says it isn't so. We shall see how the current group fares with this. The OPM employees may induce false information this time around as it appears we have cracked the code to an early determination if one has made the register. Pixie

Pixie Especially if you have the benefit of JudgeRatty being awakened by a 2am thunderstorm so she can read your frantic post and reassure you that the change in status suggests good things

Everytime I see a posting in this thread my heart stops for a second until I read it. Its almost show time, good luck to everyone. Still have 6 weeks to go. Don't be getting antsy yet. There will be time for antsy (and angst) the week of June 18. There is a thread you can bookmark and receive an alert when the NORs are released. It was started by Reverend Geek and is currently on page two. When I see that NORs have been released, I will post to that effect in the thread, and anyone who has bookmarked the thread will receive an alert. Alerts can be configured in various ways, including, I believe, email notification. That way you don't have to constantly check the board to see what is happening with the NORs. Just one more service we provide for your small monthly board membership fee. Pixie
