I am very pleased to announce that I have been offered and accepted an ALJ position in the Wichita, Kansas ODAR effective 4/13/2008!

I received the offer by email. It said that Ms. Rocheford had been authorized to offer some positions today. I was so surprised and pleased and everything else!

It's definitely picking up. I just got an emailed offer, with training starting April 28. I haven't accepted yet, I have to talk to the missus about the location.
And if anyone is tracking, I am in private practice and I am a 5-point vet. I'm not sure I want to mention my score, because I agree with the policy of deleting the scores thread.

CHECK YOUR HOME PHONES. I just got my offer, folks. It arrived on my home phone at 2:23. My report date is May 11th. Can't say where at this time.

Got one too via email @ 1:54pm (CST) - Springfield, Missouri - report date May 11.  I have already accepted. Move required, but I will be within 4 hours of my parent's 200 acre farm. State court judge. |

I just received by email an offer (which I have accepted) for Newark NJ. The email gives a 6/22 effective date. For those tracking, I am a private practice attorney. I have to run back into a meeting and would be glad to provide any further information later in the day when I can. Good luck to everyone here!

I just received an e-mail offer for Cleveland, Ohio, to start work on April 13.
Oh, I accepted it alright. . .lol

I received an e-mail with an offer at 2:30. Will get back to you all with the location once I've discussed it with my family (I've not accepted yet). The e-mail gives a 6/22 effective date.

I received an e-mail at 2:50 Eastern offering me a position in Louisville. I am too incoherent to respond at this point, but unless I am struck by a falling comet today, I will accept first thing tomorrow morning. For the statisticians among us, I am a SSA-outsider, and my start date will be mid-June.

I got an email offer at home at 1:33 pm today. That is the email SSA has always used for me. I am going to Nashville!!! It is the location on my list which is closest to where I live now (Memphis). Memphis was not on this cert. So same state, different city. Non-vet, current Fed adm. judge, past SSA attorney, (previously a dentist), start June 22. (I am registered for email notices re: attorney related jobs with USAjobs, so got an email about this vacancy announcement as soon as it went out.) My score was 70+. What else was I supposed to tell you? I am so excited!!! I will be looking for those of you who report starting at the same time. And the rest of you need to keep checking your emails!! My offer came by email just after 2:00 p.m. central time. I have already responded affirmatively. The location is in the midwest, in an office where someone has already posted here as accepting an offer. Maybe more details later. Congratulations to all who have been notified. All others, remember that there are a boatload of new positions just over the horizon.

By PM I have been requested to post that an offer for Macon, GA was accepted. The selectee is a non vet with OGC and a report date of 4/13.
I am going to start cleaning up this thread so that only the offers and acceptances are left showing. Pix.

I got my offer about 1:00 pm Pacific time. It's for Peoria, IL - I had forgotten it was on my list. Definitely not my first choice but I think I'll get used to it. The email said to respond by next week, which I though was odd. Anyway, I'm in a bit of a daze right now. Will catch up later when my hands stop shaking.

I received and accepted an offer for Syracuse. It's the middle training, starting May 11th. Great choice for a skier!
