Appointment Summary by Site

I have organized this summary into a group of lists, none of which are correlated with each other.

At this point, I don't see the utility in continuing to update this (if I am wrong, please PM me). The offers are done, so there is no need to look up if your city is still available (it turns out that was never a good reason anyway). The Roll Call lists are a great resource for who's training when. And most important, I am starting to get information that may or may not be duplicate info. When people gave me info about people they know who had accepted positions, or inside info about the same thing, I used it because it was the best info I had. At this point, I think some people are reporting acceptances who I may have counted before (even without their knowledge), which means the list may actually be getting less accurate. But if I'm wrong, I'll do my best to keep it up.

Total Identified Board Members with offers reported: 46
(I have also received some information from off-board people)

Assuming all offers have been made and only a few more board-member-offer will trickle in, it turns out our statistical sampling remained valid - about 1/3. Thus, we are no better than other people, if you can believe it!

Other data:

With no surprise, I have seen mostly people with 70+ scores. I heard of no score below just over 62. I have not figured a good way to compile score information, so I am not.

Numbers of (numbers do not add because not all info available) offerees identified as:

Although I resisted it - I think 2 to 1 insider is significant. Maybe it has more to do with the register than the selection process, but there it is.

Why do we want to know fed/non and Vet/non ?
Isn't the fact a job has been offered, the location of the position and the class date enough ?

I agree with Jagghagg but would modify to reflect job accepted, location, and class date.

I think "fed/nonfed" would be relevant for a while just to see if the offers are going out to federal employees first so us "outsiders" don't get too concerned when we don't get called today. It's just another little bit of info that will shortly become irrelevant.

Propmaster - do whatever you want to do since you're the one taking on the task. Thanks btw.

I agree with globalpanda. The more info the better. If I find out that I did not get the spot and a 10 point vet received it, I would want to know. I have nothing against veteran's preference but it certainly is relevant.

This is exactly why it is not relevant to the Boards - it only has to potential to foment resentment.

This board is great and is about sharing information. If someone does not want to post their vp, leave it up to them. A quick search of the archives will provide the answer for most regular posters anyway.

My friends, here is an easy solution: let people share what they want to share. You will find that if this conversation goes much longer, some people will be so turned-off that they will share nothing. We are too far along in the process to start alienating people know. I know that nobody has that intent at heart. I know that everybody is curious. I know that everybody has the most considerate, open motivations. But, nonetheless, it is best not to impose order where none is needed. Chaos serves us best right now. Did none of you watch my marathon yesterday?

Nice compromise, doc, you clearly have judicial something! We send the Propmaster whatever info we want to publicize and he - because he cares and wants to - structures it however he wants and publishes it. No one has to send anything he/she wants to keep private, and thanks to Prop we have the benefit of all the info that's been voluntarily shared. (Personally, I'm just hoping there's SOON some to share!)

This is a great board, thanks to all who participate, the breathe recommendation is applicable today.

I also appreciate what Propmaster is doing for us here. Although I think the more information we have the better, it should be the individual's choice and is ultimately left to them what they want to share anyway. Maybe the fed and vet info can go to Propmaster by personal message and he can just give a summary of this info when all offers have gone out.

I would love to get one of these offers, but if I don't, all the information I have received from this site so far and hopefully receive in the future should help me when I retest the next time it reopens.

As someone with a decent score who did not make the Certificate because of limited geographical preferences this time around, I am interested in general information about scores--as proposed by propmaster--to determine how deeply into the Register this first round of hiring may have reached, and what my chances might be later in the year. A designation like "HS" corresponding to a score above 70, or an innocuous range, e.g., above 80, above 70, etc., would be extremely helpful. . . .

The only pattern I see is no one has posted an offer for a location west of Wichita - the first offer acknowledged. There are probably more single position cities out west but the lack of a single report is interesting (to me without an offer at least).

Nine or ten locations, depending on whether you want to include west Fargo (ok, Fargo is east of Wichita, but not by much).

The Midwest isn't filling in, at least on this blog - Oak Park, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Orland Ill.,
Pittsburgh (actually East), as well as Dover, Delaware(definitely East). Have Charlotte, Raleigh and Knoxville been filled?

Delaware is in Region 3, as is West Virginia, and Morgantown WV has been offered.
Texas is in Region 6, along with New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
It appears the other cities are in regions which have not had offers made. (Billings, Fargo, and Salt Lake City are in Region 8; California is in Region 9; and Washington State is in Region 10).
