November 1, 2016- 28 testers for 30 scheduled persons. Eight males, 20 females.   Age range include a few younger (30-ish) people, and a few people who could possibly have been older than I am, assuming such possibility exists. Room was highly temperate on a cooler day in Washington. A number of people (near majority) wore suits/business attire, which implies no access to board.

I don't think there is testing this week.

11/3 testing - 30 test takers, two open seats (rescheduled/no shows). Probably 60-40 women to men. Age range low 30s to probably upper 50s or low 60s, most in their upper 30s and 40s. At least 6 Odarians and some other federals. Odarians.

So just finished wd Counted 29 About 70/30 women to men Age ranges from late 30's to early 60's although majority seem around 40 to 50 on average. Started out rather warm in the testing room but seems to have been adjusted swiftly. I asked the reason for making us wait till end of day for si time and was told 'in case someone doesn't show up' after wd.
stay tuned ...

I tested today. There were approximately 26 people (about 9 females, 17 males). The test administrator commented that this was a small group. Couldn't really tell if they were insiders or outsiders. Room temperature was fine. Food was as expected. On to the SI tomorrow!

I tested on November 15,2016. 29 people. 50/50 male/female. One Workers Comp judge, one retired military and 1 current military member. Most people in 40s and 50s but one man looked to be in 30s and one woman looked very young- in her 20s. I talked to about 8 different people. None knew of this forum. Happy to have finished so I can forget about it and enjoy the Holidays

I tested on Thursday, November 17th. Every seat was taken except one. It looked to me as though it was 70/30 M/F ratio. The age ranges were generally 40s-60s. Most appeared to be outsiders. The people I spoke with all had very limited GALs.

Sorry for the follow-up delay, but others have well answered the questions of my post. I have no doubt that I tested on a bad morning for visitors. There were a lot of people waiting to get in on my day, and they roped off the ALJ candidates in a holding area by the entrance probably because of the numbers (and kept us from coffee, which I was too late to get anyway). If you don't want the extra stress, again, get there early of early. I think they called us to the elevators about ten minutes before the official start time, as well.
One oddity- when we were released for lunch, I and probably many others did not leave the building because of the delay in getting in. One of the test proctors recommended the small lunch place in the basement, which I found to be "quaint" and "homey." Finding it quaintly homey, I booked out of there and went to the big impersonal ground floor cafeteria, and got an institutional lunch quickly. Afterwards, as I had my visitor pass from security, I walked about the bottom two levels of the OPM building and looked at various displays and artwork (there was a Lincoln display by the garage entrance). I went back to the gathering point and was struck by the fact that building security was gathering ALJ candidates out of the public spaces and moving them back into the holding corral by the entranceway. I don't know why we were free to walk around the building but needed to be confined by security if we went back by the elevator bank. The guard grabbed me from the chair in which I was resting and put me with my fellows. Perhaps it was an early team-building exercise.

The people I spoke with all had very limited GALs. I too tested on November 17th. There were 31 total test takers, 13 women and 18 men. I concur with the age ranges. OPM proctors were very nice and helpful. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Enjoy good food, family, and football. I'm thankful that testing is out of the way, and also thankful I had the board as a resource in preparing.

I tested today 11/28. My count was 31 and it seemed like there were a few more females than males. I'd say 60/40 F to M...but that is just is just an after the fact estimate, not an official count.

I tested today (12/1). I didn't count carefully but, when I tried to get a count, I once got 25 and another time 28. I think there were 2 seats empty in the room, so the 28 figure seems more accurate. Maybe slightly more men than women and a fairly good variety of ethnicities and ages represented. Many thanks to the board member from Michigan who bought me a drink at the State Plaza bar afterward!
Edit: In another thread a person reported 31 with 16 women and 15 men. My count was haphazard, so that very well might be more accurate. Although I definitely did note 1-2 empty seats in the room. I'm not sure of the total number of seats though.

I think there were quite a few board members there today.... I didn't talk to anyone who didn't know of the board's existence, but I only spoke with a handful of folks.
31 is the right count for 12-1. Evenly split M/F. Lots of different shapes, sizes and colors of people. Likewise, about the widest age range possible. There was a guy there that has to be the Doogie Howser of litigation because I'd put him in his 20s easy. I accidentally saw the National Christmas tree lighting tonight, so there's that.

I tested today 12/5. I counted 30 but did not confirm by looking at the sign-in sheet. At least 60% female.

I thought I counted 28 because there was space for 30 but @ least 2 people were sitting alone? I'm not sure what percent were female, but it was definitely more woman than men.

I tested today (12/8) and counted 26 but could be off by one or two due to my vantage point. There were four or more empty seats.
I believe there were more women than men - maybe 60/40 as a guess.
I'm not skilled at guessing age, but I'd say mostly the testers were in the 40-50-something crowd with a healthy sprinkle of 60-somethings.

I was there with you and those numbers sound about like what I saw, too. However, being on the upper end of that age range everyone looked young to me. See you at the SI tomorrow.

I tested 12/8 as well. I counted 27 in the AM and 26 PM - perhaps one had an accomodation for the afternoon? I would say the M/F ratio and age guesses are about right.

I tested 12/7. A full class, so 30-ish. More women, I would say.
One guy looked about 20, but was probably mid-30's. Most in the 40-60 range, with some above that.
A good group, met some interesting folks.
Nobody gave the secret "swipe the nose" indicator of being a board member.
