For those trying to estimate the number based on empty seats, 32 was the capacity when I tested. 4 columns of tables, 3, 5, 5, 3 was the arrangement then.

I tested 12/7 and agree with the stats above. One female (who indicated she had the same interview time I did) did not show up for the interview on 12/8.

Tested on 12/5 - I thought I counted 30 total (but could be off by one or two). I could not see every table. I counted 20 women and the rest men. Most seemed to be mid-40s to mid-50s with one man and one woman who could both be in low 30s. Not that diverse of a group and based on casual conversation I would say that almost 2/3 are current fed employees, mostly with SSA experience. I did speak to one state ALJ.
Staying at the State Plaza hotel near OPM and then at Embassy Suites for SI was perfect. I got that info from the board and give thanks to those that shared that information. Logistically the trip could not have gone better; let me really focus on the testing at hand.
Thanks Board Members for the advice. And good luck to everyone.

Tested today, 12/21.
28 test takers out of 32 seats available. 65% guys, 35% gals.
Aloha!
Date corrected. Thanks Pixie!

I tested on 12/20/16. I counted 22 test takers. It seemed like there were a lot of empty seats. About 1/2 and 1/2 gender split. I have no sense of insider v. outsider. I did not personally meet anyone from ODAR but my contacts were limited.

I tested on 12/8 too. I'd agree with the assessment except for ages, I'm in my mid thirties.

I tested today (1/23). There were about 25 people testing; very close to half women.

Hello all! I never post, but I tested today 1/30/17. There were about 28, give or take one or two that I could t see through the big Colin in the room. Seemed pretty equal men/women of all ages. It was cold in D.C. today so I bundled up to walk over, but I was comfortable in the testing room with just a sweater on. I stayed at the Hampton Inn about .5 miles away near the White House (H and 18th) last night. It was comfortable but now I've moved over to the Embassy Suites in Alexandria for tonight. I spoke to about 5 different people who had no idea the SI would be in Alexandria and not at OPM. A bit of a shocker for them. I flew into Regan yesterday and have been pretty successful at navigating the metro around (even ended up at the White House for some good old fashioned protests yesterday). Not feeling confident with my WD but think I faired ok on the LBMT. Guess we'll find out in a few months. I hope this wasn't too much info for this thread :-)

I too tested on 1/30/17. 28 is accurate. Exactly half women, half men. A few under 40. Maybe 5 or 6 over 60. The rest were 40s and 50s.

Hello! Just got back from DC. Testing on 2/1 was only 8 people! I think 6 women and 2 men. We overheard security say there had been only 3 people testing on 1/31!

Hi all, I tested 2/6/17. There were 13 people in the testing. 4 were women, 9 were men. The test proctors indicated that only 2 were testing the following day. So glad that's done. Loved the State Plaza hotel! The location was awesome. The weather was phenomenal. The blue line metro is planned to be down for service starting 2/11 for 3 weeks so plan ahead. When I was there it was mostly serviced during the weekend hours.
Very few testers seemed to be familiar with the forum board. Several were SS writers. Nice group of people.

I drew an 8:15 am time along with 3 others. To my understanding there were several that had times around 1 and around 3

Have it on good authority that there were only one or two testers at the WD today.

Query: is it harder to get data re the stats with such light turn out? If only 1 or 2 testers, very possible that neither is a board member.
