By the way OMHA is starting to send out referred notices (been referred, may get call for interview) for Cleveland and Seattle for AA and SAA I have heard. I do not know if such notices have been emailed for other cities.
The notice is sent from the usastaffingoffice
Good luck to those who have applied.

Couple new AA posts on usajobs today (or this week) One of note AA OPM and mentions ALJ program? A typo? I believe that is canned “Responsibilities” language in the announcement that has yet to be updated. I doubt that is a prelude into anything. Would not expect to see any changes in the way they do business until regs/law changes are firmly established and implemented.

Senior Attorney position with the FAA www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/503839800Responsibilities Handles all aspects of class litigation including class certification, class decertification/modification, discovery, motion practice, trial and appeal. Responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, appeals and any other written documents related to the defense of class actions and complex employment litigation. In coordination with the Chief Counsel, Deputy Chief Counsel and Assistant Chief Counsel for Employment and Labor Law, routinely interacts with high-level agency management officials including high-level regional, center, service area and headquarters managers to provide expert legal advice and strategy about class actions including settlement options. Represents the Agency in employment and labor law matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and other administrative fora; and, in conjunction with the Department of Justice and US Attorney’s Offices, in federal courts. Assesses the need for outside counsel to support FAA class action litigation. In coordination with the Director, Administrative Services prepares for consideration by the Chief Counsel and Assistant Chief Counsel for Employment and Labor Law, business cases to support the acquisition of outside counsel, to include proposed legal strategy and projected costs. Deals with extremely complex and difficult legal questions or factual issues that may require original and creative legal thinking to resolve. Works independently and has broad discretion to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and policies. Establishes and maintains a high level of trust with executive-level management of the Office of the Chief Counsel, agency executives, senior managers or officials of the FAA, the DOT, OMB and other federal agencies. Huh. Welp, I used to be an FAA attorney and I have experience with class actions and dealing with labor/MSPB, not to mention all sorts of intergovernmental work. Maybe worth a try. Cheaper application than the ALJ was...LOL! Smile!

I know that referral notices have been sent out for some of the other OMHA job postings beyond Cleveland and Seattle. For example, I know that referrals have been made for supervisory and senior AA positions for at least Phoenix, Albuquerque, and New Orleans. Is anyone aware if there have been calls for interviews yet? Thanks!

Is anyone aware if there have been calls for interviews yet? Thanks! They are doing the Phoenix and Albuquerque hiring together and held interviews for the 14 position a couple weeks back, asked for references about a week ago. No word on a selection yet. Also no word on New Orleans or Atlanta yet at all save for the automated "referral" status changes folks have gotten for NO. It's not clear if those two offices' spots will be hired in tandem like ABQ and PHO. Thanks for the info. As an aside, I do wish USAJobs email notifications made more sense: I received the USAJobs referral email THIS MORNING for the GS 14 position in Phoenix.

I'm almost positive that all of the Supervisory AAs for new offices were GS-14s.
