I look for a reprise of Gorsuch though POTUS would probably like a screamer, he'll suggest someone who's not going to sound extreme, who can generate a slew of fishing stories to respond to softball questions from the Senators.
I forsee a confirmation hearing on the topics:
So Ms. Normative, you say you like the color magenta. Why is that, can you tell us?
I also attended a) public b) parochial c)us forces schools d)home schooling. Is there anything about that schooling that you feel should prevent you from being a truly outstanding Justice on the Supreme Court, if the obstructionists would stop asking nit-picky questions?
It was once said by a noted Senator, "there should be Supreme Court nominees who represent the mediocre among us." Could you tell us if you agree with this democratic statement and why?
Is there a reason you don't like to fish?
(Prizes given to those Senators who manage to avoid any reference to law, the law, in any question they pose).

Gorsuch is who he picked when he felt pressure from the republican establishment to get a conventional nominee. That establishment has either retired or since aligned their views with that of POTUS. Since POTUS views everything he has done as a stunning success, he’s going to go with his gut and get the person he wants. Whoever that is going to make Gorsuch look like RBG in comparison. The only question is which Fox personality currently has POTUS’ attention. Will it be Justice Doocey? Justice Ingram? Justice Kilmeade? Or maybe his personal attorney? or Michael Cohen? Jared? I don’t even see the point of going through a confirmation hearing more than five minutes long, it’s a done deal.

So Trump's short list of 25 (I think) nominees from previously is what he SAYS he's going to stick with and that list includes the following individual: Federico A. Moreno. From Wikipedia: Moreno was born in Caracas, Venezuela, the son of Francisco and Réjane Moreno. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 and from the University of Miami School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1978. He served as the inspiration for the character D-Bob in the film Rudy, where he was portrayed by actor Jon Favreau. Moreno and the real Rudy lived in adjacent dorm rooms in 197. A HISPANIC IMMIGRANT...would some people on the left just LOSE THEIR FLIPPIN MINDS if Trump nominates him?

Gotta find someone from a top 50 law school. Ted Cruz will probably issue some flattering statement on twitter and get out of this tough Texas senate race.

Justice Andrew Napolitano Maybe we should start a pool. Frankly I would be surprised if an actual current or former judge were nominated.

Since he has no policy convictions or moral compass he doesn't really care. It will be transactional. Remember Gov. Blagojevich was treated very unfairly. He'll take the Federalist Society list bring in the top 3 names, demand loyalty and pick whichever one looks best on TV. Hair, height and hands. I wouldn't be that surprised if it was Pam Bondi or something (AG of Florida). The base loves blonde white women.

Also recall that, per el jefe Maximo, a judge of Hispanic descent can’t rule on matters relating to immigration or the president.

Cruz today emphatically threw his support behind Senator Lee. I think Lee is a frontrunner. He's only 47, he clerked for Alito, his replacement in the Senate will certainly be a conservative Republican, and his policy leanings have been vetted not just by an ad hoc vetting committee but over the years through a political career. And having a nominee who is a senator who has been very collegial will make it not only politically but also personally difficult for Rep and moderate Dem senators to obstruct his confirmation.

To enhance the predictive likelihood of success, reprint the foregoing list with the birth year in parentheses after each name.
I have already looked up the Wikipedia biographies for the six women on the list. One or two are “too old”.
