I’m not seeing that the Executive Schedule being similarly raised. I think the higher step 15s and ALJs will be SOL here.

If not, looks like the 14s will make the same amount as the 15s: www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/salaries-wages/salary-tables/pdf/2019/SF.pdf (and if it keeps going that way with the pay raises, only a matter of time before the 12s have the same base salary as the 15s

The reason I say this is because although the pay freeze may be in effect it has not historically meant a freeze on raises for those tied to the ES schedules. 2019 was an example. The max rate for an ALJ rose by 1.9% to $176,900 even though there was a pay freeze for the VP and SES and ES rates. I am relatively confident the raise will again apply to ALJs as well as GS-15s.

I’ve already spent the raise and bumped up my savings allotment, so it had better go through! I told Santa Claus that I wanted TPTB to let me telework this year—in spite of scheduling < 50 hearings per month. He just laughed, and told me I should hold off and ask the Tooth Fairy instead. He had a sad look of resignation in his eyes when he said this. I took this to mean that even Santa knows it’s hopeless. The TF hasn’t done squat for me in many decades. I will never telework. I will never be collegially embraced by the RCALJ and his/her minions. I am disconsolate.
Respectfully, Slacker Hamster

The few times fed pay raises happened in the last 10 years, ALJs got them also. Don't see why this would be any different. Time will tell.
