For the Veteran Law Judge position posting that closed on 10/1/21, Has anyone heard anything? Or does anyone have any information as to timelines/hiring process? Thanks in advance Interviews for first week of November are being scheduled Did anyone get an interview? I just received a notice by email from USA jobs that said:: “Your application was found minimally qualified and was referred to an executive rating panel for further consideration. If you are ranked among the group of highly qualified candidates, you will be referred to the Executive Review Board, interview panel, and/or selecting official.”” Applicants that were referred to the hiring manager for this position may be contacted for an interview. All referred applicants will be notified of the final outcome. This is not a job offer.” Is this just an example of the thread that shall not be named catching up our status in USA jobs, or do I still have a chance?

I went to check my status and it said, “not referred.” Way to get my hopes up, just to get shot down!

A lot of talk here about "Application Status." Seems we might be drifting into the area of Application Manager.
For those of you relatively new to the board, there was obsessive posting in multiple threads about one's status in Application Manager. All of the obsessiveness was consolidated into one thread: Application Manager. Application status was not allowed to be mentioned in any other thread.
My question to the members: Are we heading into multiple discussions about one's status, and do we need to consolidate all of these comments into Application Manager? Pixie

As long as we are keeping the VA application posts in this thread (so far, so good), my vote would be to keep things as-is and reevaluate later. I suspect there are just fewer applicants to the VLJ position, and so I doubt this will devolve into chaos. Or maybe we can start a VLJ/AM specific thread.

Pixie I vote for keeping it here. After my post, I received a response from a fellow board member saying they had an interview last week, and their colleague did as well. The guessing game of will I or will I not receive an interview and what my status says is moot at this point. Based on their comments, it sounds like knowledge of VA law and prior ALJ experience helps. *edit to my prior post- I clicked on track application and it said “not referred,” even though the status showed it as “reviewing applications.”

Well, OK, then. Discuss status on the VA application here, but don't go freelancing about other jobs. Pixie

I'm glad Pixie decided to keep the thread here. I think it's relevant to see the process of a particular hiring agency. My upper right hand corner also says "Application Package Status: Not Referred." But, at the same time, I got the email saying: "You were found: Eligible for the following position or positions: AL-0905-3; Your application was found minimally qualified and was referred to an executive rating panel for further consideration. If you are ranked among the group of highly qualified candidates, you will be referred to the Executive Review Board, interview panel, and/or selecting official..." Sounds like others got the same thing, essentially- you are minimally qualified, and may get an interview, but not referred. Until today, I only saw the email and got hopeful. Oh, well, anything can happen from here Thanks everyone for sharing your experience in applying for this one.

The two greatest words in the English language, “minimally qualified.”

I have that same "not referred" in the VA's system and the "reviewing application" in AM for the same position.

not sure if this means anything. My application status does not say referred or not referred. It says Application Package Status: Received, but I have not been contacted for an interview.

My application says the same "Received." There is nothing further.

I have that same "not referred" in the VA's system and the "reviewing application" in AM for the same position. I emailed the listed contact and asked if she could clear up the discrepancy between “referred email” and “not referred” tracking status. I will update if/when I get an answer.

Anyone familiar with BVA Attorney-Advisor positions - good, bad, or indifferent? Looks akin to SSA decision writers...
