Has anyone who has been interviewed by Soc Sec in the past get a call to be reinterviewed? I was under the impression that Soc Sec did not interview a person that had already been interviewed by Soc Sec.

RAM- In the email notifying candidates that they made the cert from Gehlken it states:
If you have not been interviewed by SSA for the ALJ position, you will be contacted within the next few weeks to schedule a personal interview

Hmmmm... So, I wonder if its a good or bad thing if someone is called for a second interview. I mean, if Soc Sec were to call someone for second interview that person should go ahead and interview and not even question it since it would seem that the resultst of the first interview must be lost or something, right?

Well I'm thinking that that "someone" should tell SSA that SSA has already interviewed him/her for the position for two reasons: SSA is paying to interview those of us they have not already interviewed. Also, it's not fair to those who wanted to be re-interviewed but were told no. Now, if, after disclosure, SSA decides to re-interview that someone anyway, I presume that's SSA's prerogative.

Saying that you "shouldn't interview" presumes that you know more than your potential Employer. If you get a call and they want to interview, what the heck, why wouldn't you re-interview? Its their dime. Where I used to be, that is called the "second interview"--definitely a good thing. Now if they uncover this snafu--and they will--you just say, oh, I hope I still get the job! ;D

FYI - Talked to Sylvia Baquero this morning, a name I was provided in my email, and was told that because my interview is next week, it may still be a couple of days before Margaret or Jeff get in touch with me about travel arrangements. I know there are a lot of people to take care of, but nothing like waiting till the last minute!
