For those who have completed the SJT, Essay, and Experience Questionnaire, did you receive an email notification advising you of any status change with your application? I ask because I am one of the unlucky folks who used Application Manager to submit their application and now have no way of checking the status due to the termination of that site. Thanks.

I received a confirming email that I had completed the SJT/essay/experience questionnaire. It also stated that if scored high enough I would be notified of date of WD/LBMT and SI.

Can you jump in and out of the Experience Assessment or must you complete it after you have started?

What would be a very rough estimate of the time needed to complete the untimed 3rd section? Do I need to take a half day of vacation or a full day?

I received such an email as well. Glad to be finished with it. Now, the challenge is to put it out of my mind until we start hearing the results.

I think the most time consuming part is reading the directions. They are pretty confusing. I dont think you will need more than an hour or two to complete it

Good info..thanks. Can you tell how many questions are on the first portion of the test that has to be done in 75 minutes? I am thinking 15 at least. Just would like to be able to plan my time. I am taking the test Saturday and Sunday when I am able to devote all my time to it.

Patiently - I agree.
I have a couple of "processing questions."
Q1: Do you need to proceed through the three sections in one sitting, or can you exit(save)and return later?
Q2: For the experience section, do you need to come prepared to enter very specific contact info of persons who can verify the information?

Thanks, patiently! I apologize. Obviously, I wasn't thinking it through! Hope I do better on the test questions! Good luck to you.

Aljseeker, Patiently, et al- As I recall, the instructions tell you how many questions there are, and you can view that page without starting the 75 minute clock, so I don't think it would be an issue to reveal that number. However, I honestly forgot, so I can't be the one to help.
I will reveal the deep dark secret that the first part of the exam was, in a word, absurd.

You can read the directions as many times as you like without starting the clock. I really don't think that asking specific questions about this phase of the process is appropriate. If one can't read the directions and complete the timed portions in the allotted time, and figure out how to do the untimed portion as the instructions provide, well, perhaps that's part of the weeding out process.

The segments have to be done in order -- SJT, essay, experience assessment. You can leave the SJT and come back later, but you will only have the time remaining when you left [this is explained in the instructions]. Once the SJT is done, you can start the essay whenever you like -- immediately, after an hour, the following day, etc. as long as everything is done by the 10th. Once you start the essay, you have to finish it -- if you leave and come back, all your work will be lost and you will have do everything again in the limited time remaining [also explained in the instructions].
Personally, I finished the SJT well within the time limit, but took almost all available time for the essay. As an earlier poster noted, the experience assessment is not particularly time-consuming but the instructions are quite detailed.

i completed the timed portions of the test with no problems. however, when i finished the experience assessment and hit record answer, it deleted the answer as if i had never answered the question. i've contacted the helpdesk and have gotten generic responses. has anyone else had this problem?

I have good news and bad news: yes, that happened to me - I have empathy and fortunately the help desk responded promptly BUT I had to draft the essay AGAIN - ouch! I contacted the help desk and based on the response I decided to just start all over - the next morning...

I planned on taking the test this weekend and was curious to know if you can use Microsoft Word (so as to use the spell and grammar checks) to type out your essay and then cut and paste into the test?

when i didn't get a quick response, i re-drafted the answer and resubmitted it. when i hit record answer, it again, erased the answer and took me back to the beginning of that section of the test. i'm having this feeling that maybe there is more than one question in the experience assessment section, but i'm afraid to go back in a third time till i get some help from the helpdesk, which is just telling me, "we'll let you know when we have an answer!"

To my knowledge, cutting and pasting are turned off for the essay portion, but can be used for the experience assessment. I tried a cut and past in the essay and it did not work. Yet, it did in the EA.

The exact same thing happened to me, but once I got the blank screen I hit the back button and got locked out of the entire exam. I contacted the help desk to verify if they actually had an answer for this section or to see if it submitted a blank answer. I was told Your response has been recorded and it was submitted properly. No further action is required. I hope that means there was just a lag after I hit submit, my answer was recorded, and then everything was complete but I'm not sure. Anyway, good luck!
