I think this is true for almost all of them. In the 1st cert there were some reports of email offers. Without any knowledge at all I can imagine those as offers being made to people at the end of the day with the hope that the offeree will respond overnight so they can begin the next day with the next offeree. Perhaps if you are overseas or in an otherwise "difficult" time zone for an offer from EST? I believe the vast majority will be phone though. Offers tomorrow? I'd like to believe so but I think more likely the week of the 21st:(

I believe that Funky received his offer by email and that he was told that it was meant to "speed things up." But that was during the 48 hour offer stage, if anything I would expect they at least would start with phone offers initially...

I sometimes wonder if Bob is aware of our obsessive interest in his day to day activities. As we sit waiting for him to reach out to us and provide us with his blessing, I am reminded of the words of another Bob:
But I know, now, that I'm way down on your line, But the waitin' feel is fine, So don't treat me like a puppet on a string, 'Cause I know I have to do my thing. Don't talk to me as if you think I'm dumb, I wanna know when you're gonna come, soon.
'Cause if summer is here, I'm still waiting there, Winter is here, And I'm still waiting there.
Like I said, It's been two years since I'm knockin' on your door, And I still can knock some more, (please excuse the edits)
Bob Marley
This just seems to fit how I am feeling today. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

In the words of the great poets and philosophers of another generation, Blondie:
Call me (call me) on the line Call me, call me any, anytime Call me (call me) my love You can call me any day or night Call me

A year and a half of waiting in the dark for those first certers, and then all of the sudden, we need to move things along immediately. What a process.

My heart leapt yesterday when I saw Washington DC on my caller ID, but it was just an Avvo sales rep... It will be Falls Church, not Washington, when/if it happens.

If you are unavailable, he leaves a message asking for a return call. If you don't answer by the end of that day, you get an email - with the offer. If you don't respond either way within a set timeframe, I think he makes one more attempt each way, using both contact methods. And if that is unsuccessful, he moves on. Plenty of chances, a number of calls and a couple emails. I was in the 3rd day of a 4 day trial and had my phone turned off when he called. Didn't turn it on until 5:00, after we had finished for the day, and heard his message telling me to call. When I got back to my office, there was an email time-stamped just before closing time at Falls Church spelling out the offer. Called before going into trial the next morning and spoke with him - received the formal offer. He'll reach you folks - as long as you haven't fallen off the edge of the world. Don't stalk him. He will get hold of you. Breathe. ht

FYI - Bob is in the office. It would appear from the lack of any celebratory posts by any board members, that Bob's telephone must be out of service today. Quick, somebody send a lineman out there (preferably from the Wichita ODAR) to repair the system, so Bob can get to work spreading all the good news!

Are things really on hold until the Senate acts on the Cromnibus? Good question. I think it's just an educated guess by smarter people than me on this Board. However, I would think they would need to get the January starters hired regardless, and that with the short time to do so they would want to start the offers/acceptances ASAP. But that too is just a guess. Those who are saying don't know, and those who know aren't saying.

Hey Gaidin, my son just turned me on to St. Paul and the Broken Bones earlier this week (he probably discovered them on Spotify). They are awesome, singer almost sound like Otis Redding or Al Green. We are also fans of Alabama Shakes (and we are alternative rock and R&B fans from Southern Cal). Thanks for posting!
