all of mine show "received" in USAJOBS. In Application Manager, some are "complete" and some are "pending HR specialist action." I still think it will be a couple of weeks, or more, before anyone is called for interviews. Same here.

By letter, do you mean you received an email? I'm not in this hunt, so I can't say specifically, but usually it is a "letter" sent by email. Under your status in App Manager, you can view any letters issued. Make sure to add opm.gov to your safe email list so notification don't go to junk (the ALJ notices came from USASTAFFINGOFFICE@OPM.GOV, so save that too.) I think if you used a gmail, it is more likely to go to junk. BTW, here is OPM's take on the process, FWIW. OPM FAQ

I saw on USA Jobs a posting for Board of Land Appeals for the Department of the Interior. Anyone familiar with this type of ALJ position?

I saw on USA Jobs a posting for Board of Land Appeals for the Department of the Interior. Anyone familiar with this type of ALJ position? Is this the ALJ position in Albuquerque? This is for current or past (but still eligible) ALJs. Past experience with Indian Law is helpful.

No it is in Arlington Virginia and no requirement that you be on the Register or go through OPM?

I saw on USA Jobs a posting for Board of Land Appeals for the Department of the Interior. Anyone familiar with this type of ALJ position? This is an Administrative Judge (AJ) position. It is not an ALJ position so no need to be a former ALJ or to be on the register.

Thanks Gary, I found it soon after I posted. Geesh - got time to write 20 pages about how you have specific AND broad knowledge of land law, environmental law, etc., etc.? Not me. I'd rather blather on for 20 minutes in court over a stupid motion my opponent made, even if it was about mining law! But write about it, nah... Good luck to anyone who has all 10 mandatory items for that position.

I applied for 5 positions. I have only one(Bloomington Minnesota) that said Complete rather than Pending HR Specialist. The HR person was an Inez Patton. She has other locations I have applied to but no action. Anyone have any action on Harlingen, Dallas, San Antonio, Omaha or Pearsell? Thanks

Missundaztood, I'm not seeing a pattern with my other cities. My other CA cities are pending, while Boston is complete. My mistake. Another futile attempt to find order in a chaotic process. Understandable to try finding some logic to it. If there's some kind of plan as to which cities are being completed in what order, it's probably OPM's plan. I picture a group of HR specialists locked in a room with laptops crying because they've been put on this assignment to review 3000 IJ application packages and hurry up with it.
