Bikingnut, today I drove my auto the length of my bike rides in the evening, I am at 15 miles a night, I had no idea, although this is not IJ material, I just wanted to add a little good news today to the board, good luck to all, 15 miles? Sounds like a parttime Border Patrol agent candidate to me! Just so long as you recuse and don't personally try the cases you opened the night before, it sounds like a dream IJ situation to me. Unfortunately, I don't own a bike, so I guess I'll just have to wait for SSA.

Work up to 25 and you can start nosing around for some group rides in your area in the springtime. Look for no-drop groups unless you can sustain about 25mph for the entire distance. It's supposed to be nicer out this weekend, so I'm hoping to get out for one of my last jaunts of the year. Probably do an easy 30 or so.

;)You all are talking about driving a motorcycle 30 miles right? No one would ride a bicycle that far would they?

Has anyone had an updated to their application status on USA Jobs in the past week. I had 6 applications and the only one that said complete was Bloomington Minnesota. Very frustrating process when no one gives you an update. I tried calling the number and the person listed on USA Jobs but got a voice mail. Thanks

Usually a more up to date status. Good luck!

Off-topic questions:
1. If a person gets an interview after referral, does the agency typically call or email to schedule?
2. What is the difference between Administrative Judge and Administrative Law Judge?
3. Anyone have any experience or information on working for the Merit Systems Protection Board?
TY!

Thanks I have the same ones complete that were complete on 10/9. Maybe it doesn't mean they're not making progress behind the scenes, though. Maybe someone is cross-referencing resumes and marked you complete on one to show your package is complete, but they have so many applicants, they're spending their time reviewing and ranking them for each city so they can get on with it, rather than clicking "complete" 5,759 times in their database. It's just a theory, work with me here....

As to the agency typically calling or emailing, I imagine that is a standard practice. SSA ema.ils, but other agencies could do it differently.
I had a lot of employment law experience, including a lot of experiencing arbitrating in the federal sector, many cases that were deferred to arbitration and could have alternatively gone through MSPB. I was never contacted. I came away with the impression that they had pretty much pre-selected their lucky winners.

Great job! I am sick with some nasty upper respiratory thing so I am off the bike for now. I'm glad you like your shoes! I have two different setups because I have Look pedals on my road bike but when I do spin class they have SPD pedals, so I have another pair of shoes with SPD cleats. Way more complicated than it needs to be!

Check the HR Specialist on the ones that show complete. May be that one may be working faster or have jumped the gun.

I use SPD here and don't click in a lot, because sometimes it is so crowded here I am still not comfortable un-clicking very fast, ie I might fall over while still clicked in, and that would be soooo embarrassing . On the IJ front maybe this week there will be some movement, as always good luck to all, you never know the light at the end of the tunnel might be you
