My original locations are at the top of my new expanded list. Me too - original locations at the top of the expanded GAL.

The bolded text above is what you said, but it appears it is in the post that you quoted. In order to quote another poster, and then make your own comment, you need to come down below the quote box. If you are using a phone, it may be difficult to do. Pix. Thank you for explaining this--you may disregard my PM

Christina, I am not sure why my posts look different, but when I hit the reply within your post, it doesn't work the same way as for others. I PM'd Pixie about this, wondering if I am just deficient. (probably explains why I am forum "Elder" and not "Legend" LOL it depends on what you are using. i have a very hard time quoting and having things look the way i want to when using a cell phone to make a post. works much better with a desktop. I finally woke up enough to realize what I was doing wrong Thanks for your patience. I'll go back to my "silence" theory now.

My original locations are at the top of my new expanded list. Me too - original locations at the top of the expanded GAL. Oddly, my new locations are listed alphabetically by STATE at the top, then my old, retained locations from the original application are listed below those, alphabetically by STATE, with removals done. Falls under "your mileage may vary"

Falls under "your mileage may vary" lawmom, that is why i seem to have too. Good news for both of us then!

As long as the GAL has been updated "What difference at this point does it make" what order they are in. Just waiting for the NOR now. Couldn't resist. We all get anxious trying to guess what is going on and what has happened. Apparently OPM is proof that Dark Matter exists in the universe.

We all get anxious trying to guess what is going on and what has happened. Apparently OPM is proof that Dark Matter exists in the universe. Lurking in the heart of our nation's capitol, there lies a behemoth that verifies quantum mechanics information paradox theory. Much like a celestial black hole, OPM pulls in massive amounts of information. Much of it is never seen again. Yet every once in a while, this formidable object, on an intermittent and unexpected basis ejects information back out again. Often such information is scrambled and little sense can be made of it. Hawking could have made his career studying OPM, but the view would not have been nearly as mesmerizing.

i think some of you missed my point, which was admittedly not made in a question i had above.
here is part of my list, more or less about 1/3 to 40 percent down in order of cities.
(locations above here are listed alphabetically by state) Milwaukee, WI United States Casper, WY United States Anchorage, AK United States Phoenix, AZ United States Tucson, AZ United States (locations below here are listed alphabetically by state)
Since i did not have access to my original GAL, i wanted to know if anyone had a listing more or less similar to me. That would help me confirm the new cities have been added to my GAL(and it looks like new cities were added to the top of my old GAL list). My list appears to be new cities added alphabetically by state at top of list and then directly underneath Casper, Wy(which i think is an addition?), my original GAL cities are listed, also alphabetically by state.
Although i too care less about the order of the cities, i do care about whether any cities had been added at all, especially since i knew i should have additions to my GAL, others were reporting changes, it took me awhile to realize i had any changes at all, and i was not 100 percent sure that anything had changed since i don't have my old GAL in front of me to cross check.

I tested in early Oct and submitted my updated GAL on the last date possible. My added locations are on top, my original selections on the bottom and the ones I had to deselect are gone. Let's all hope for early Feb NORs. ??

Mine is easy to figure out. When I applied almost 3 years ago, I only applied for Denver. My expanded GAL includes every single location. In the Application Manager, Denver is on top, and then all the other locations are in alphabetical order by state.

OMG! I'm listening (and singing along) to it now. You've taken me back to high school, when I couldn't wait to get away from home and start my real life in Colorado! Back to my hippie days. Thanks for the memory.

My GAL is not yet updated. I have therefore concluded that my data entry is in the pile before the less speedy contractor. Just like at work if my work is processed by one contractor it is sunshine and roses - she just goes out of her way to be efficient and helpful others not so much but still do good job. Unless i see a flurry of activity reflected on tjis bo ard i Will not check again until after work I hope . any changes? Crossing my fingers for you that there are or will be very soon. All the best, C

Last night I went on OPM's ALJ Announcement page and noticed they had posted the announcement that went out to all of us to expand our GALs. However, they indicated responses were due to OPM on 12/23/15. The email I received had a due date of 1/6/16. Anyone else have a 1/6/16 due date? I wonder why and when they changed it to 12/23/15.

Of course no updates to my GAL overnight. Just a funny. I actually just looked in the mirror and thought maybe if I had gotten my eyebrows trimmed I would have scored better on judicial temperament. Do I even know how to spell temperament? I know how to spell Chill and that is what I need to do. (BTW I have no score yet so I am really trippin')

The due date I received also stated January 6, 2016. There were multiple emails regarding this that included language stating, "As a reminder, survey responses must be submitted by close of business, January 6, 2016, 11:59 p.m. EST in order to be processed. You will have no other opportunity to update or change this information until the next time an ALJ announcement opens." Additionally, I did not submit my revised GAL prior to December 23. However, my GAL has been updated.
