Please note GAL expansion survey was to January 6 2016 (or whatever day early in January).
The notice only says you have until December 23 to update your email address for those who should have gotten survey but did not.

The notice only says you have until December 23 to update your email address for those who should have gotten survey but did not. I re-read the notice and I believe you are correct. It says "If OPM does not receive your inquiry by December 23, 2015 or if you receive the survey and do not respond by the deadline date specified in the survey, you will have no other opportunity to update or change your geographical preferences until the next time an ALJ announcement opens." Since the deadline date specified in the survey was 1/6/16, there should be no issues. The December 23, 2015 threw me off reading it at midnight.

Please like this post if your GAL has not been updated in app manager. It seems like everyone on the board's has. Making me crazy whether I somehow selected no longer interested as mine is not updated. Thanks

Making me crazy whether I somehow selected no longer interested as mine is not updated. Thanks Due to my somewhat neurotic tendencies, I repicked the same cities and renewed (I think) my interest in the position. My original list is showing, which makes sense I suppose. There would be no point in showing the same list twice. So, I can't tell for sure if anything was updated since nothing changed. This is probably not very helpful, but it's all I have to report!

Thanks hey, if you're up for it, pm me your list. not trying to be snoopy but it took awhile for me to realize my updates were in. maybe i can detect a similar pattern for you. did you have a narrow GAL to begin with? if so, and you made a lot of changes or enough changes to notice, then yikes. you are almost certainly right. no changes have been made yet. i was climbing walls yesterday wondering why my GAL was not updated so i can feel your angst :/ However, if you had a broad GAL to begin with, it can be hard to see the changes, Trust me, been there, done that. Also, it's still soon enough it's not time for panic mode. easier said then done but the person making your updates may have needed leave this week or there could be some other reason why other lists were updated before yours. i would not say this if changes were made a month ago, but it has been less than 2 days, with some crappy DC weather to boot.

Still no update. That's for supportive likes and PMs. I just had an epiphany thanks to fingers crossed PM. Transparency is the catch word inside the beltway. The notice on OPM ALJ webpage stating completion of various stages of process reflects that. So when they are done with GAL update it might be mentioned there (especially to avoid appeals on that issue).

Last night I went on OPM's ALJ Announcement page and noticed they had posted the announcement that went out to all of us to expand our GALs. However, they indicated responses were due to OPM on 12/23/15. The email I received had a due date of 1/6/16. Anyone else have a 1/6/16 due date? I wonder why and when they changed it to 12/23/15. I got the 1/6/16 date, too.

I did WD/LBMT mid November 2015. I got the 1/6/16 date as well for GAL update and made my changes on 1/5/16. My GAL is updated. New ones over the old ones.

The notice is referring to those who had not received the survey email must contact OPM by 12-23-15.

At least as far as Board participants go, no one from the Oct-Dec test group has reported receiving an NOR. Right and I was not suggesting that. When I said the "group who already received NORs", I was referring to folks like Gary and Gaiden, folks who have NORs and are on the register but are still waiting for the call. I did not see anyone from that group expressing that their GALs were not being updated. Gotcha. It was the general reference to "the group" that wasn't quite clear to me when I read it.

still having "See Details Tab" deja vu. My GAL remains un-updated. I tested in December.
If you know you updated your GAL and yours also is not showing as updated in application manager, please like or reply to this message or PM me. I hate being in this boat alone.
It is a good reality check. It is making me apply for some other positions in my agency that I might not otherwise have applied for.
Thanks

No mine is not expanded. Maybe they decided only a looney tune would expand their GAL to add San Diego. There is no way we are offering a newbie a spot in San Diego.

Wait. Are you saying Middlesboro has more perfect weather than San Diego? Seriously? I love my hometown and my adopted home, but no place is as good as San Diego when it comes to weather.

There is no place like the San Diego Area. I spent my early years up until HS in Lakeside 17 miles east. Never had to wear winter clothes other than a sometime light jacket. It never snow and rarely if ever any freezing temps at night. Not too hot, never had Air Conditioning. If it weren't for all of the people it would still be ideal (I prefer the small town) Perfect beaches, surfing and the Golf is amazing. (walk down memory lane) I didn't include SD because of the high tax rate in California and the ungodly traffic, but weather perfect.
