I had information that there is not a hire date before the June 27, 2016, date. I can't give you any details about how I got that information but I believe it to be reliable.

That makes sense (?), given the talk re: the transfer list, the waiting of NORs for this latest batch of testers, the appeal process & that new ALJ who deferred until June 26th. Not saying I like it, but it's better than a kick in the head.

Not much better than a kick in the head. I guess it depends on how hard the kick is.

Not much better than a kick in the head. I guess it depends on how hard the kick is. This reminded me of a classic from Dr. Demento .... i found it redone on Youtube. Warning ... it is langauge appropriate for office viewing, but you are very likely to laugh out loud Personally, I love the song at the end as well.... Enjoy

Over my years of lurking here and a few posts last time around (I'm now in the Oct-Dec group), I have to say that this is one of THE BEST posts ever. This whole process has made be feel like I got a Boot to the Head. . . . .

Is there a trademark on This Week? I know gary has trademarked Today and Tomorrow, but I think This Week is open.
Fingers crossed that the October-December test group will get NORs This Week™.

In light of the June start date (which may very likely be the next - thanks for the Intel Gaidin), any thoughts on how soon interviews will happen for the October - December subgroup after receiving NORs?

Just because you may get a NOR in the next month or so does NOT correlate to a May interview with SSA. Let's not count our chickens when you don't even have a basket to put your eggs in.

Thanks for the clarification, Sealaw. I understand that your NOR has to be high enough to make a Cert that matches your GAL. Many stars would still have to align.

Not counting chickens but ... my goodness, there's another thread where people are asking about how to prepare for the next job posting! Surely it doesn't hurt to contemplate possibilities.
I would say we are more like pricing good baskets to hold eggs in. Not buying the baskets yet, but just looking around.

Just remember there are some folks with very good NORs who haven't appeared on certs or on only a very few certs. I know you guys know that but it doesn't hurt to internalize it a bit every so often. Keep hope alive and never give up but also be prepared for disappointment.

I think interviews will be within 6 weeks of receiving the NORs and possibly as little as 4. I just wouldn't commit to knowing when GALs will come out.

I just want the waiting to be over with. I'm not one of those likely to try, try again.

For me, this application process and Discussion Board has become a hobby! I do enjoy the comaraderie of this community. And there are some members with great senses of humor who make me smile.
