Wilddog: You are absolutely right! "Animal House" is truly more than just a movie, it is a "lifetime" experience, full of "life lessons" (Don't get mad, get even!"). I have watched it more times than I can remember and each time, it is like a reunion with old buddies who never get old. Who could ever forget Delta brothers Bluto, Otter, D-Day, Flounder, not to forget Greg Marmalard, Doug Niedermeyer (s-s-s-s-s-s) and of course, Dean Wormer (Double secret probation!). And the music, just incredible. "Animal House" keeps us in proper balance and will help us to be better ALJ's. As a close runner up, I would offer Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai", another of my favorites. Best regards, CTB

GP: As you may have guessed, "Blues Brothers" is another of my absolute tip-top favorites of all time but I would have to give the nod to "Animal House". Thanks! CTB

Songs that help just as they are:

I just keep hearing Paul Simon in my head, singing, "Slip slidin' away. Slip slidin' away. You know the nearer your destination, the more you're slip slidin' away."

I would just add one:
In the clearing stands a boxer, and a fighter by his trade And he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him til he cried out in his anger and his shame I am leaving, I am leaving, but the fighter still remains Yes he still remains

Time - Pink Floyd
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking And racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in the relative way, but youre older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way The time is gone, the song is over, thought Id something more to say
Home, home again I like to be here when I can And when I come home cold and tired Its good to warm my bones beside the fire Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

aaa:
Great List! "Can't Find My Way Home" was written by Steve Winwood when he was a member of Blind Faith. Clapton was the guitarist in that short-lived band. That song, as sung by Winwood, still gives me chills, 39 years later.

How 'bout Bob Marley's I Don't Want to Wait in Vain for Your Love? I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna wait in vain for your love.
Got ya singing it, don't I?
