8 hours ago hopingforalj said: "I wanted to tell the group, first I have no idea whether I will make the cut, but I do think they worked on my file manually. Pixie, I hope this fits close enough for this thread. I have had two resumes, one from 2013 and one from 2016, it was merged late Friday afternoon, the only difference, was the ending date, one 2013 and one 2016, plus a different address, but my old one was finally erased, it is some type of movement, not sure what, but movement toward an answer on whether an invite to DC is coming or not, best of luck to all."
Bayou responded: "Are you referring to resumes that you had uploaded in USAJOBS? If in USAJOBS, is it possible that the old resume was deleted just because of age? I think stuff is deleted after 3 years in USAJOBS. It would be odd to me that OPM would be messing with stuff in USAJOBS that is not directly part of your application packet.
Of course, if it is related to Voldermort, then we should probably track down that thread to continue this conversation."
And I say: It wasn't USAJobs. I have an old SF50 form posted there that has the posting date in late Spring 2012. It wasn't Voldemort acting automatically, because my late-winter 2013 resume is still there. H4ALJ, it is my considered opinion that you have committed an act of augury, and are onto something. Further comments from me will appear in the "Cut at the Second Hurdle 2016" thread, soon to appear next month.

There is a dark and terrible part of me that wants to create a thread entitled "A thread to NOT discuss application manager". Where's Gaidin and what have you done with him, Pumpkin! Hypnotized him to the point where he is speaking only in acronyms and muttering "IRR-whee" to himself.

Why would he have a dated 2013 and a 2016 resume both uploaded in App manager for the 2016 application? I think Hoping is an OPM double agent sent to ensure that we are sufficiently confused. And when you say that you have a 2013 resume still there, where is there? If in App Manager, then is it part of your current 2016 application? I don't think OPM is looking at anything beyond what is in the 2016 application. I attribute it to the Chinese still rooting around in OPM's breached databases.

As someone who applied in 2013 and again in 2016, the 2016 application in AM was like a refresh of my previous application instead of a new application. There was already some information in my 2016 application remaining from the 2013 application. I do not recall specifically if my previously uploaded resume was still in there, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

Who else besides me, in the class of 2016, is checking their application status every day? Haha. I use to but I quit given what I glean from this process is that application manager is really of no help. Have to admit that I check my email, spam and this Board way too often, however. Patience has never been my strong suit!

Who else besides me, in the class of 2016, is checking their application status every day? The application manager will slowly consume you. Beware. Beware. Sounds of chains clanging. Beware.
It's like dynamite, quicksand and ebola on steroids.

I have to admit that I check this board first everyday. Looked at application manager once after completing the online component.
Definitely a bit antsy. Hoping to get the DC invite soon. Any elders have a WAG about when and if we should hear from OPM?

This board will tell you any movement before AM will. No longer - I suppose I will check it ifI see activity here and yet have not received an email - but I remain positive (so far - and since it is not at my 2 month - wtf - why hasn't anything happened personal deadline - I am not at all wondering what is going on yet. If it hits 2 month with nothing I will/may get anxious and start wondering checking - but until then - Adult beverage anyone?

In all seriousness -- is there a point in continuing to check AM? Only if one is interested in watching a modern version of glacial creep.

You think the 2013 announcement was the only Federal job I have ever applied for? That SF-50 was for something else. USAJobs is for more than ALJ-ing. Why, I use it to apply for fire-spotting jobs in rural Alaska! Or I would, if I were level-4 qualified for that kind of work.....
