You think the 2013 announcement was the only Federal job I have ever applied for? That SF-50 was for something else. USAJobs is for more than ALJ-ing. Why, I use it to apply for fire-spotting jobs in rural Alaska! Or I would, if I were level-4 qualified for that kind of work..... Is this a continuation of the prior discussion about resumes being deleted in AM? If so, I'm not following your point.

Good point- it's confusing if you don't post a reply directly to what you're replying, um, to.
You wrote:

And when you say that you have a 2013 resume still there, where is there? If in App Manager, then is it part of your current 2016 application? I don't think OPM is looking at anything beyond what is in the 2016 application. I attribute it to the Chinese still rooting around in OPM's breached databases."
As noted by another poster, those of us who went through the 2013 application process have our 2016 application attached to the 2013 application in Voldemort. I have a "personal letter" to me in my Voldemort file advising me of the denial of my 2013 first-hurdle appeal, which looms over the 2016 application like the Specter of Death. The SF-50 from 2012 was for another job, and is in USA jobs and not Voldemort. Whether H4AlJ or Mao is responsible for what is going on is unknown to me. I appreciate their effort and attention, and have learned to just go with the flow...

Sorry, I have been knee deep in request and hearings, which I am very happy about. Ok back to AM, in 2013 I applied, my 2013 resume survived until last Friday, then it merged with my 2016 resume when I say merged I mean there is still a 2013 listing of resume but that resume now contains my 2016 resume, and my 2016 listing still contains my 2016 resume. So 2013 is still listed but contains 2016, and 2016 is still listed and contains 2016 resume, and at some point, the Jupiter probe will pierce the Jupiter atmosphere and we will see Jupiter, now that will be amazing.

gern and hopingforalj Thanks, I think I understand now. I didn't apply in 2013, so I can't see what you see. I've used USAJOBS to apply for jobs (in fact the one I have now) and it lists each application as separate and distinct, so I thought that it would do the same for the 2013 ALJ application and the 2016 ALJ application, i.e. show them as distinct and separate applications, not merge them together. Sorry for all the questions, I tend to get curious and go down rabbit holes.

Don't make yourself crazy with AM. I drove myself a little insane based on being about the only one who did not have her revised GAL update. I was convinced that that was a sign that I was cut. Also post seeing "see detAils" and no NOR, I was suddenly emailed last quarter of last year to do phase 2. Am now on cert. Lesson try not to work yourself into frenzy reading the signs.

But, maybe with a name like Pixie I should have known. I would not count on the Application Manager to have everything right at all times. Those of us from the 2013 application process know that issues exist now and as well as then in the Application Manager. If there is a major discrepancy in it, then report it to OPM, otherwise it is nothing more then a basic way to see "very little" of what is happening in the process. I am so glad to be over that piece of the application process forever.

I applied for 20+ senior attorney vacancy announcements in June, an experience that has made the ALJ application process appear straightforward. Baffled and confused does not begin to cover what is happening on USAJOBS and AM. Received, reviewed, referred, NOR, EL - THIS IS NOT A JOB OFFER. I've gotten emails that say whether or not I was referred from all of the postings except two, but I have yet to receive an email notifying me that I was referred for the posting that I interviewed for a week ago. I have so many questions, and the answer to all of them seems to be - TBD.
On the bright side, it's been an excellent distraction from worrying about the SJT, writing sample, and EA. I've chatted with some nice folks on the telephone, and it is fun to hear about other ODARs. My weak self justification for checking the ALJ AM is because I'm already on there, trying to decipher the cryptic messages in the email I received from USAJOBS.com at 1:20 am.

Sorry folks, but I get my news from the blog--way more interesting than AM. Yes, I started this thread so members could obsess here and leave it out of other threads that actually have merit. Obsess away. Pixie

gern, you haven't posted much during your two years on the board, but it is obvious you have been reading the posts and know how, and more importantly where, to obsess over application manager. And yes, your attention to detail to the change on the login page is definitely indicative of a big development. Keep up the good work. Pixie
