After reading the posts here the past few days, I've been stalking my status waiting for the changeover. Last night I was still pending, but as of this morning I am Awaiting Results. Fingers crossed that emails go out soon. Best of luck to everyone!!

Status changed overnight (or first thing this morning) to Awaiting Results. I whooped. Out loud. After days (ok, weeks) of checking and not expecting any change, what can I say? It caught me by surprise. Applied on 4/4, non-vet.

Only Whooped? Wait till you get your invite email. Let us just say that I am very glad I was teleworking when I got mine.
I didn't genuinely realize how much it would mean to me to help our nation with this backlog until I realized I was moving on to the next subjective phase.
[10 pt vet - applied earlier than these 5,500 - don't construe this to mean someone in the 5,500 got the online testing email.]

Still pending. Anyone with Awaiting Results with a New Jersey ss #? That is how they scheduled testing in Washington--just wondering if that might be how these were assigned. Prior discussions from the 2013 class threads showed that SSN were not used.
I thought First in First Out but that has also been shot down...somewhat. I still suspect it is FIFO but the work was distributed out to multiple persons as they came in. Some persons are working faster than others, so some with later application dates are approved by the fast worker while the slow worker hasn't gotten to one with an earlier application date.
Or, they just played 5,500 card pickup - threw them in a big pile and are just picking them up at random.

southernfun I've seen your posts trying to figure out your timeline. What is you conclusion? Do you think the 10 pt vets for this quarter are going to be held back to be part of the new application tsunami?

Status changed this morning to "awaiting results". I applied on 4/1 and my social security # is from Texas (in answer to someone else's question). Thanks to everyone on the board for the info and support!

Why would they start work on applications that came in prior to the closing date when applicants can, and many do, replace their first submission with a subsequent submission?

My status has changed to "Awaiting results--you will be notified." I take it to mean that OPM has begun to look at these.

banks To be sure we are talking about the same thing, I'm talking about the processing of applications from pending HR to some other status, not testing. If you look through the threads that Pixie posted at the start of this thread, there is discussion between those applicants about alphabetical order and SSN regions being used to post changes to AM and I gathered that it didn't play out as predictive.
What do I know though; I'm a newbie to all of this speculation.

southernfun I've seen your posts trying to figure out your timeline. What is you conclusion? Do you think the 10 pt vets for this quarter are going to be held back to be part of the new application tsunami? I don't think that. 10 point vets are different by statute (regulation?). We aren't even in application manager as we don't even use USAJOBS to apply. Everything we do is by email - no "status" to even watch.
A 10 pt vet ALJ in my office was hired in 2014 within 9 months of applying. It is a fact that causes eyeballs to bulge on this board.
They already have a system for bringing in 10 pt vets every quarter for testing. My gut is that the 10 pt vet process is a process that they just do it as they always do it.
My fear, is that we get delayed to be lumped in with the 5,500.
I wrote the ALJ helpdesk in March and asked whether we will now be part of the new refresh. This is the answer I recieved verbatim:
"Your application is currently being processed and is not affected by the current Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Job Opportunity Announcement (JOA), ALJ2016-847661."
But, come July and we are in DC with a bunch of the 5,500 and we'll know the answer...

Me too - my status changed this morning to "Awaiting results - you will be notified." This is a good sign. Watch your email in the next couple of weeks. And CHECK SPAM FOLDERS!

Although Pixie thinks this discussion is meaningless, I will add to it by saying that my status changed to AR yesterday. I also believe the emails for online testing will go out by the end of next week.
It really shouldn't take that long to review the apps for the initial requirements. Let's say they have 20 HR Specialists doing the review. For 5500 apps, that's 275 per person. If they can review 10 per hour for 7 hours per day, they can have them all done in about 4 days. Even if you double the time it takes that is still only eight days.

Hello, I am new here and applied for ALJ for the first time. Apparently, I must not have adequately described my years of experience as a litigator, as I am also still left with the dreaded "See Details Tab." I also did not provide an exact bar admission date, just a month and year. Wish I had known to thoroughly scour this forum first before submitting what I thought was my "completed" questionnaire! Question: Do you think the "you failed to make it to the next level" notification will be sent by email, or snail mail? I want to make sure I don't miss it and the chance to appeal.

They send everything by email these days. Also monitor your Application Manager page. There is a section down a ways where they post some of the more important messages they send to you. (The versions you find there may actually be better formatted than any email you receive from OPM.)

Did your status change from Pending HR to See Details Tab recently? I'm pretty sure that I didn't put the day of the month that I was sworn into the bar, just the month and year. Will see how that plays out.

I'm still pending, just in case anyone else is also and feeling like they are the only one left.

Will see how that plays out. I think that the "Application Package Status" at the top left-hand side of the Application Manager page has always read "Application Package Status: See Details Tab" -- at least it has since I first started paying attention to it after reading some of these posts! The "Application Processing Status" at the bottom of the page has read "Complete" for several days now -- it had previously said something like "Pending HR Action."
