Yes firehouse you can view instructions and print for each section. Aa7 you are absolutely correct! I have just read the instructions and clearly it states you are on your honor (emboldened I might add) to complete the response "without interruptions, distractions, or disconnections" so those of you who intentionally disconnect from the response are cheating. That is my take on it. That's very helpful. If one goes to the link, are you able to read some or all of the instructions without starting the timer on any of the three parts? Or, if you go to the link, is it the case that the timer starts automatically on something?

So, I finished Round 2 yesterday. I feel ok about it. Thanks to the board for encouraging me to quit stalling and see what it was like for myself.

Has anyone successfully gotten into the test today? I'm trying to take the test, and I click the link from the email and get to the page with the overview of the 3 tests, then when I click "continue" I get a message that says:
We apologize for the inconvenience, but there appears to be a problem with your request. Either the page you were trying to reach does not exist, or your session has timed out. Please try one of the following:
- Click your browser's Refresh button to try reconnecting. - Check the spelling on the URL to make sure the address is correct and click your browser's Refresh button. - Click on your browser's Back button to return to the previous page.
Just wondering if the system is down, or is something wrong with my individual link?

I was getting that response yesterday too, but when I navigated back to the prior page, and tried again, it worked. Happened several times throughout the process. Good luck on the test!

Whew!! That was an adventure! Now it's time to check out the drink of the day thread.
I found the SJT fun... That probably means I did it wrong. LOL!

It worked for me this afternoon - I just finished up part three after doing the first two parts Friday.
Good luck to those of you taking it this week.

Finished all 3 parts!!! Feels good to be done with it!!
On the SJT, I giggled at some of the "obviously" wrong answers. Hope that means they really were wrong, and I'm just not completely insane!!! LOL!!!!

I hope I finished it. When I tried to submit my EA answers I received a message that said there was a system error that wasn't my fault and something about having timed out. When I logged back in expecting to have to redo everything in the EA, it said I was finished. Emailed help desk for confirmation that my answers were received. Ugh

Texasgal (and other finishers)--congratulations! As always, any suggestions (that don't violate confidentiality rules) let the thread know.
Hope to see you all in DC (anonymously, of course).

Texasgal--and other finishers---As I look ahead to the Experience Assessment, which I gather is untimed, how much time did you spend on it? Asking to figure out if I should bust ahead tonight, or get out some motions and save it to savor at a later date.
I realize everyone's time is different--some will need time to decide on just the right type face, color and emojis, others need to wait onthe muse, etc. However it gives those of us an inklng of the time it takes.
All the best.

don't forget the lavender scented paper
CavalierTexan--- darn, what am I going to do with the ream of mimosa scented paper? Guess I'll just have to save it for motions before a certain judge.
I took not a pause in my writing of the writing sample.
Best tip for section 2, the writing sample, isn't mine but someone else's--save time for proofreading.
To that end I made sure I had a kitchen timer with me, so I set it for 25 minutes so I'd remember to wind up and proofread with 10 minutes to go, and I used 9 minutes and 40 seconds of that 10 minutes in straigtening out unclear sentences, correcting grammar, so I strongly advise that for any who aren't "first draft is near perfect" writers.
I think it's not giving away anything to say that the type face seems to be extremely small (calibri 6?) on the screen you get on the link, which makes correcting an eye strain fest. If you have a larger screen you can switch to, that would be a luxury!
(if there's a feature that lets the applicant have a larger typeface, please let the thread know).
On to the third, the Experience Assessment. How much time to allow? Or how much is given?

*WHEW* I just took it, clutching my Rosary the whole time! Fortunately a lot of the SJT questions involved scenarios that I faced as a hearing officer - I can't wait to see the federal government's opinion about whether I did the right things or the wrong things!

On to the third, the Experience Assessment. How much time to allow? Or how much is given? - There's no time limit for the EA, but it doesn't take long. You can look at it, decide whether to start it, or just close the window and do it later. Nothing stops you from opening and closing it multiple times before submitting it, if you want to give it a peek!

Sophie--thanks. As the instructions seem like they are looking for background data, I'm just curious how long it took you, others--gives me a rough idea of when to schedule.
Hope you get good news.

I can't believe it, but someone is actually working the help desk on a Sunday and responded to me saying that they received my answers. Yay! Now I can relax and watch Game of Thrones. T-minus 49 minutes and counting til the season finale...

Press "control" and "+" at the same time to make the font bigger. "Control" and "-" makes it smaller. It worked on the small font there and it works here. In fact, it works on most windows based text. Try it.
