Just one compulsive question before I let this go. I was in such a hurry when I realized it was EST, I just hit record my answer. I think there was an option after that to review my answer which I declined? That would have just been a full view of my answer? I had cut and pasted it and proofed most of it in the box when I realized I was in a different time zone.

Well, I was editing my EA and then realized it was EASTERN time so I hurried up and submitted it five minutes before the deadline!!! Yes, this may eliminate some of your competition on the west coast.

Ok. Deep breaths gang. On to the next step. I will tell you that a lot of the discussion of the test and its procedures over the last two or three days makes some of us more experienced members a little antsy. If you could tone that down going forward we would appreciate it. I also know that if some (certainly not all) of the same things are said about phase 3 as were disclosed about phase 2 several folks will ask Pixie to get the ban hammer out. There is an extremely strong NDA at phase 3 and then you have the Board's confidentiality policy as well. Please remember loose lips sink ships.

So, I was just wondering about the level of experience others have. Have many been a lead attorney or trial judge in highly complex contested litigation? I think there are many who have been one or the other. Probably most trial judges have been both. I wish most trial judges had this experience.

There is an extremely strong NDA at phase 3 and then you have the Board's confidentiality policy as well. If I remember right it all sort of felt like a video game that would end at any point for me until I went to DC. Perhaps that is why the discussions have been close to the line of what is allowed (or over the line in a few cases). I didn't join the board until after DC, so I was never tempted back in 2013 to discuss the "fun" I had on the online portion. Once I invested a lot of money in the process, met other applicants face to face, had to check in with security, be escorted around OPM offices, etc, it all felt very real and very serious. I am hoping that Phase 3 makes it very clear to people who haven't been before how serious OPM and the agencies who use ALJs are about confidentiality.

A busy schedule over the last few days, as well as a balky Mac, has kept me from staying on top of this thread as closely as I should. I have gone back and deleted a bunch of posts and will close this thread as Phase II is over. Let's not be as chatty about what goes on during the exam in the future. Pixie.

My test experienced problems while I was taking it. The system froze multiple times. I did go out and tried it again, but it continued to do it.
My rejection letter should be here shortly. I think they will be sending mine by express mail.
Good luck to rest of you. This was truly an adventure. I did not know this process existed....wooow

Sounds like it might have been your system or computer. Did you test the system with the link provided in that first email?

Guilty as charged :-( Thank you for your always amazing moderation and picking up after those of us that are a bit... chatty? I shall only say this regarding Phase II now that it's over: Congrats to those who finished, have a drink and a piece of cake. Now let the wait begin.

I had cut and pasted it and proofed most of it in the box when I realized I was in a different time zone. I reviewed my answer - and I wish I hadn't - because there was some weird formatting that changed in the preview/review version - clearly a computer glitch, but it made me want to go back through and act like a weirdo, deleting these clearly randomly inserted formatting glitch characters, that wouldn't have been there if I hadn't reviewed it. You should assume not reviewing was a good choice.
