I am starting this thread for the new members who were notified that they are moving on to the 2nd phase.
Now is the time shake off the application trauma and move on. You have some time to get to know each other again but now you know who made it through the first obstacle. Get ready for the next obstacle.
You cannot focus on the last obstacle there are far to many ahead.

So you start a post talking about unity and overcoming trauma by titling the thread with the phrase "Battle Stations" followed by 5 exclamation points? (!) Heck, I got nervous opening this thread and I'm already past the second round!
Judge G, enough with the psychological mind games on the newbies. I know old habits are hard to break, but you already got the job buddy!
(JK. I kid because, I love :-) ).

I think they should all pick a battle buddy and begin practicing bounding overwatch. I encourage them to build the camraderie that will get them through the long periods of waiting ahead.
I am also hoping that one of them emerges as a pollster in training so when I am in FC they have someone to keep the flow of data moving.

I don't know what to do to get ready for the battle ahead. I thought the best thing to do was to read everything on this forum that I can and to make sure I have the technical requirements in place, quiet time to take the test, etc. However, in thinking this through I think that it's better to stop reading all the posts and threads about those who have been rejected at the application phase. I certainly feel for anyone in that situation. However, I find it makes me even more nervous about the arbitrariness (or perceived arbitrariness) of this whole process. Maybe the best advice (aside from the obvious of making sure you aren't interrupted etc) is to breathe and stop focusing on all the negativity? Count our blessings if we are moving on and focus on that. I presume that was the intent of Gaiden's original post starting this thread. Thank you Gaiden.

Can we include guesses or information as to how many may have gotten the chance at round 2?

This process is a meat grinder. Not because it is filled with failure. It really isn't. It is a meat grinder because it takes a very long time and there are long periods where it appears nothing is happening. If you can stay positive and build relationships you will be in a much better place no matter the outcome. There are old threads about the 2nd phase and I recommend you go find them and see what people were thinking and saying then. None of us that took the 2nd phase in 2013 can have any real recollection of the test or even prepping for the test. hopefulop you have already gotten a big jump on success. Good luck

Can we include guesses or information as to how many may have gotten the chance at round 2? What you need is a poll! You sure can discuss that but remember the important thing is to look forward.

Can we include guesses or information as to how many may have gotten the chance at round 2? What you need is a poll! This is a great opportunity for a second phaser to take the initiative on polls for your comrades in arms! ALJ Gaidin is now extremely busy and will continue to be a presence on the Board but understandably he'll not have as much time (especially to do polls) in the future. EDIT: OK, G just did a poll. You are too kind but I may have to stop you in FC.

Maybe so Slainte. But we need someone more computer literate than me to do it.

Thanks for starting this thread, Gaidin, it gives the newbies something else to talk about.
Remember that this thread isn't for obsessing over, or even mentioning, that which may not be named. There is a specific thread for that topic (that goes for you too, J. Pumpkin). Pixie.

Reporting for duty!!! Thanks for the thread, and the poll. It's fun actually be able to vote in those things (other than FFV)!!

Does prepping include determining which adult beverage to consume when you complete stage 2? If so - I found a place that serves awesome Guava margaritas and has an awesome outdoor patio.
And um - will AM change when we pass through...(JOKING - just joking- don't hurt me Pixie)

Battle Stations? Meh, so far this process has more of an Indiana Jones vibe than a Hunger Games one...
