In preparation for phase 2, I just took the sample sjt with one text and one video question. I then used the nifty search engine on here and discovered some discussions back in 2013 on the subject. They appear to be the same sample scenarios dealing with an offer of proof and handling a hearing in a time crunch. I'm just curious if anyone else is interested in discussing these samples? I don't think that discussing those examples would be problematic. I would just open a thread on the topic and see who shows up to discuss them.

Anyone can kindly link to the 2013 old posts regarding the online component/sjt? Thanks in advance.

are there any statistics available as to how many applied for the 2016 ALJ exam and how many moved on? I know that we have our own stats but I can't find anything online to show the total (ie including others not on this board)

See: www.hsgac.senate.gov/download/kennedy-statementI know of no source saying how many moved on.

I'm here reporting for battle!!...I will be taking mine first thing Monday morning...yes...I am that one...lol...call me crazy but it just won't feel right waiting...and letting days go by before I get it done...is anybody else like me? Or am I the only one?...I wonder how many of us will be clicking that link Monday morning and how many will just chill and wait and take it when ever or wait till close to July 1st...
I did not make it to the 3rd round last time...I thought the test was really fun to take and thought I did really well...but apparently I did not score high enough to move on to Round 3...so I am praying I can "crack the code" this time and make it all the way!
Good Luck to you ALL!!

Good luck to you as well futurealj -
I hope this time is the charm. You are not alone. Often I too would be that 'one' but have to work at crack of dawn Monday and through Thursday (4/10). I may start on Monday night after work and will have to finish regardless by Friday 6/24 afternoon. Long overdue family trip and of course it's in the middle of this testing! Still debating in my head if I should just devote Friday to the entire thing or start the sjt Monday or Tuesday night.
Gary you are likely correct and I just hope it resolves by Friday morning. I want to put a lol but I know better;)

So that's about the best WAG I can think of. Except of course the seveal hundred who then magically passed and took phase 3 in October - December 2015. Curious to see if the newly adjusted passing number will be used this time at the outset, or will OPM resort to the inflated passing number....TBD

I am planning like an athlete; good sleep, protein, exercise, and plenty of preparation!

For 5/10 point vet applicants moving to the second round - are the points considered/added when the powers that be decide who gets to move to round 3? Or does the point bump only come at the very end for the total score?
In other words, if we pretend there is a max 50 points for the round 2 testing and this round, the cut off to advance is set at 35. Does a 10 point vet that scores a raw 30 enjoy a bump to 40?

Bayou is right and his link is spot on. I add the following subtlety: While the points are added to determine whether you move on to DC, and are added to determine your final numerical rating, they are not added to determine whether you get passing scores on the WD and SI.

I wish I could get it out of the way - I had to find a sufficient time on my calendar around my work hours, crazy kids, end of the school year activities/events, several birthday parties, and crappy home computer, so it's basically Sunday morning for me.
