gary ...resistance is futile. That line doesn't always work. I know. I tried using it during my agency interview. It must've been without that basket of puppies (or cookies).

Just think -- when STTOS debuted, it was set ~ 200 years in the future. Now only 150 years to go! Come on medical advances!

Okay, here's a S/J/T test (as in: situational judgment trek test)--
You are at work and see out of your window that 5 (TNG) Klingon warriors in full regalia are walking across the parking lot, 4 male and 1 female. One of the males is in a tartan kilt. Pick your most likely and least likely response:
1. Why are there Klingons in the parking lot?
2. How could there be a Star Trek convention in town that I didn't know about?
3. Doesn't that guy know that kilts aren't consistent with known cannon?
4. I really prefer the classic Trek Klingons over the TNG version.
5. I really prefer the TNG Trek Klingons over the classic version.
6. I probably shouldn't have had chili and ice cream for lunch.
GO!

J I have an unfair advantage. I work (for another week) in San Francisco. Klingons would be refreshingly normal here.

JMcJP, Your SJTT is much more enjoyable than any SJT discussion. I choose 3-most; 1-least.
I had to do one of my own SJTT just for laughs.
You are presiding over a disability hearing. The claimant interrupts the proceeding by shouting, “Judge, my MRI proves I'm disabled!” The representative proceeds to berate the claimant. What is your most likely response?
1. Continue the hearing for a consultative mind meld.
2. Regain order by sleeping with the claimant and/or the representative.
3. “Dammit, Jim! I’m an ALJ, not a doctor.”
4. Drop kick.
5. Do nothing because the medical expert’s fourteen-year-old son, who is in the room for no good reason, should solve everything in the last five minutes of the hearing.
6. Complain to HOCALJ.

Although Worf said his people never spoke of it, I always assumed that the facial difference was an artifact of the fight that finally drove the Klingons to capitulate and join the Feds. The Federation obviously kicked the Klingons' butts so hard their spines ran up their heads. It's all good now, though.

Sad news in the Trek universe with the sudden (and quite honestly, horrific) death of Anton Yelchin (new Chekov in JJ Abrams' re-boot).
(suddenly, I realize I've become my mother: "Do you remember so-and-so?" "No." "Oh. Well, he/she died.")
