I just received my "Notification to ALJ Candidate" about ten minutes ago.
When I filed my initial application, I checked the boxes for all the locations. However, the list they gave me in the Notification is missing many of them. Does this mean they aren't hiring for those locations that have been left off?

Yes, Flannery, but it is not an interview notice. And the two threads that use that phrase are sending candidates into a tizzy thinking that others have received invitations to interview, when they- themselves -have not. And if they don't settle down and get all that ridiculous information in, they won't GET an invitation to interview.

Lawandorder, it was a few hours behind the first wave when I got my email. It took an eternity, it seems, before I actually got a call to schedule an interview.

Remember folks, let's be patient. People are receiving individual emails with an individualized geographical preference list. This is not a shotgun massed email to 450 recipients at once. They have to be sent out by individuals. So give them some time. Your patience will be rewarded.

To All: Although I have been monitoring this forum for some time, this is my first post. I want to express my appreciation to everyone; reading the messages has made this process tolerable. Thank you.
I just rec'd my notification. My score was 63 so there is still hope for everyone.

It has been determined that there are 6 people over at SSA trying to get these notifications out. It will not be until tomorrow that they will all be sent.

Yes Northwest. I went through this process last year. I remember all too well the anxiety I experienced with the whole process. Good luck to everyone!!!

Thanks for the reminders to breathe! And for the calming words. Very important. Whenever I forget that, I know it's time to go out and take another yoga class, and remember that what is meant to be will be.
Thank you for the factual information, all. It really helps!
I received my notice. WHEW!

Point well taken, JH. I was just trying to state that I had gotten a notification that I would be interviewed--not the invitation itself with a specific date, etc etc. And surely this process will take at least a couple of days as each notification is tailored to what geo preferences you originally submitted. Hang in there everybody, with as many folks as they intend to hire, there is no reason for us not to be optimistic until we know otherwise. And if the result is adverse at that point, we can plan for the next time.

I have not received any e-mails today, and my score is 80.8 with every location. Hopefully, they're just slow

Lawcat, with as many emails as they have to send, plus the fact that they did not begin until around mid-day today, there's no way they will be able to finish today.

Thanks Flannery. One good thing about the wait: my desk has never been cleaner and I'm occupying myself with mundane chores that I would never ordinarily do. Hard to focus on real work...

Is there any rhyme or reason to the way the Notices are being sent out? I know someone with a lower score than I received who got a Notice for some of the same geographical locations that I have listed.

I'm in. Recieved my notice about 2:47 central time. That list of cities on the GAL looks sweet.
Good luck to everyone and thanks again to everyone who helped this process on with good advice and information!

Thanks JH.
I really didn't think there was rhyme or reason. I was just trying to calm my frazzled nerves.

Hooray for you, June Bug. I'm happy for you. And responsive to northeasterner's post--I think it's a matter of splitting up the workload. There's no alpha order or score order, they are probably just dividing up the number of employees doing the emails by the number of emails that need doing. So random is what results--no meaning as we know it......
