Hi everyone. Now that we have jumped through all of the required hoops, would anyone care to hazard a guess as to when NORs might be mailed out? For what its worth, I am thinking maybe 8 weeks or so? I base this upon the time it has taken to complete evaluations of the earlier phases in the process. If I am correct, making the list would be an amazing Christmas present! Wish you all the best!

Please see the Polling Place for guesses on when NORs might come out. It is already a topic for discussion here.

In the past, NORs were released three months after testing. I predict February as the release of NORs given furloughs and budget woes.

Saints / Broncos in Super Bowl. Write it down. this is a first. i'm disagreeing with Devildog. Seahawks/Dolphins - Superbowl. Can you tell I'm a Miami fan? what I'm really hoping is that someone, somewhere, can keep the Tide out of the BCS. Give someone else a chance. Go Mighty Ducks!

I think it's actually been 3-4 months after notices of invitations for testing were sent out (July 2013 this time around) and about a month or so after the testing was completed based on the pinned timeline thread and looking through old posts related to testing and NORs. But I agree that this shutdown might cause a delay.

Actually, it was less than two months after testing was over last time. The testing happened through March 2010, and NORs were out in mid May. But, this time is a little different, including the time of year. It depends somewhat on whether they started scoring right away (particularly the WDs) or saved it all to the end. But, with the shutdown and the holidays, I'm still thinking January.

I'm thinking January too, subject to the budget deal. Many people think there will be a rash of ALJ retirements at the end of 2013. Depending upon the number of retirements, this could create a legitimate emergency at SSA. SSA management is actually planning for this contingency according to the HR director. It may be very important for OPM to get the NORs out asap and we already know that the OPM ALJ operation is driven by ODAR's priorities (again, as it should be.) I am keeping an eye on the retirement numbers out of ODAR.

Tide vs Ducks would be awesome! It would be amazing to keep the BCS title in the state 4 years in a row! Yes, Auburn actually has one!

I think half the running backs in the NFL are Bama alumn. Maybe the clubs should set up farm teams in tuscaloosa.

Best guess? Hmmm...like the lbmt? Then I take "C" (For the record I stick with my previous speculation and vote January)

This year Alabama's passing yards actually exceed our running yards. But everyone always thinks they are a running team only. I don't care how people view them, so long as we keep winning. And for the record, I've been a Bama fan since before I was even born, even through the years of probation and losing seasons.

Because this step is such an important part of this unusually large and thorough process of selecting a very needed panel of candidates for vacant ALJ positions, my vote is for completion prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Otherwise, the normal year end leave taking will force a delay until after the first of the year. No lengthy process should be needed because the procedures for arriving at the final list have already been put into place.
