Good luck to all who are interviewing today. Please let us know how many people were there since we had low poll results.

Are we sure they are still interviewing? When they scheduled my interview I got the impression that July 31st was the last day.

People have reported that they were offered August 4 and 5. The poll shows that some people were going to be interviewed on dates other than those stated specifically on the poll.

During lunch if anyone in our training class spots a nervous person in a suit we have been reaching out and saying good luck. If we spot anyone today, I will see if we can get some Intel.

Is it just me, or is anybody else having trouble pretending that everything is normal when Gary changed his avatar?

Is it just me, or is anybody else having trouble pretending that everything is normal when Gary changed his avatar? It's a tribute to my late cat.

From what I have pieced together, a "highly recommend" interview can overcome a myriad of flaws, short of a past history as an ax murderer. How do you go about finding out what your interview rating was/is? I have read several comments about how much a "highly recommend" rating can help you, but I'm wondering if this is an extremely logical and common sense bit of speculation, or whether we can/will actually get our interview ratings. I have read this Board for eight years and interviewed at SSA once. While I have heard of the interviewers offering encouraging words, I have never heard of Puzzle Palace (OCALJ/ODAR) giving out ratings. I, for one, thought I did great at the time. Time proved me wrong.

They don't give you your rating. I've read here somewhere about someone asking the interviewers "how'd I do?" or some such, and getting s very positive response. But that's it.

Following my interview, one of the interviewers walked me to the elevator. During the walk thru the mazelike floor, he essentially told me how wrong I was in regard to one of my answers in the interview (I won't discuss the question or answer). He then shook my hand and told me I did a great job. I was then hired on the first cert.
A good friend interviewed with the same panel later that day. The same interviewer walked him to the elevator saying nothing. At the elevator door he simply asked if my friend required a cab. My friend was also hired on the first cert. Before me.
Tigerlaw reported he left his interview feeling like he bombed it. He was also hired on the first cert.
Another friend left the interview and emailed me how he had nailed it. Claimed great feedback and the "good job" from the panelist that walked him to the elevator. Yet, a year later and multiple certs gone by and still no offer.
Moral: don't read too much into the "feedback" you get. Most of it is in your head.

Are we allowed or supposed to take any materials into the interview?
