I have yet to see any members report that they were interviewed on 4 August. Maybe they only had one day. Maybe the Hiring Committee will meet tomorrow and Friday. Friday is generally a travel day for the ALJs conducting the interviews to return home

Following my interview, one of the interviewers walked me to the elevator. During the walk thru the mazelike floor, he essentially told me how wrong I was in regard to one of my answers in the interview (I won't discuss the question or answer). He then shook my hand and told me I did a great job. I was then hired on the first cert. A good friend interviewed with the same panel later that day. The same interviewer walked him to the elevator saying nothing. At the elevator door he simply asked if my friend required a cab. My friend was also hired on the first cert. Before me. Tigerlaw reported he left his interview feeling like he bombed it. He was also hired on the first cert. Another friend left the interview and emailed me how he had nailed it. Claimed great feedback and the "good job" from the panelist that walked him to the elevator. Yet, a year later and multiple certs gone by and still no offer. Moral: don't read too much into the "feedback" you get. Most of it is in your head. Funky--thanks for sharing this. It's a valuable perspective, especially for those of us who are prone to mentally replaying our interviews. My interviewers were cordial and offered to help get me a cab and some post-interview cookies, but certainly offered no "good job" or lobed direct feedback. Glad to confirm that may not matter. The ALJ who walked me to the elevator didn't say much---something like have a good day--I spent the next day or two second guessing my answers---not a productive use of time--I didn't flub the interview but probably didn't knock it out of the park either--my advice after the interview is to put it out of your mind---

I spoke to a candidate who interviewed today. Very nice individual with impressive credentials. At least four people interviewed today when taking into account earlier posts in this thread.

No one walked me out either. Or gave me any indication that I did well or terribly. Complete blank.

Nobody walked me to the elevator either and I'm at training in FC today. There are no tea leaves to read from your interview (except of course the barfing thing : ) ). Good luck all! I say calls start next week.

There is another topic about references being contacted. However, those who have posted seem to have interviewed a long time ago and their references are being called a second time. Amongst those of us who interviewed this time around, have your references been contacted as of yet? Not mine. Just curious.

Better to stick this in the correct thread instead of here paatyorney!

People whose personal histories and references were submitted before November 2014 were asked to update and re-submit. My guess is that these are the second-time reference checks.

I figured that this was the audience I was going for. The other thread is for those who had their references checked before.

I have not gotten any word that my references have been contacted, so I am in the same boat as you.

I've been told by a non-member of this forum that she interviewed for the first time last week, has a very small GAL, and nearly all of her references have been contacted.

To reiterate, for those interviewing now, there seems to be no rhyme no reason as to when your references are checked, although it's reassuring to know that they have been. In the past, some references were even checked before the interview. Also, it's not unusual for some, but not all, of the references to be checked.

Are we allowed or supposed to take any materials into the interview? You can bring and leave an updated resume with your interviewers. A note pad and pen will be provided and you must leave any notes that you take. They will be shredded without review.

No one walked me out either. Or gave me any indication that I did well or terribly. Complete blank. These types of comments armake me confident. My interviewers walked me to the elevator, went down with me, took my visitor ID, ushered me outside, and then physically locked the front doors behind me and started covering the glass doors with newspaper. I'm a shoo-in!
